India Tortures Pakistani Prisoners, Uses Them In Terrorist Activities

India tortures Pakistani prisoners to extort confessional statements.

By Aamir Latif, IOL South Asia correspondent

ISLAMABAD, March 1 (IslamOnline) – The Indian intelligence agency (RAW) is subjecting scores of Pakistanis, flown from Afghanistan’s Bagram airbase, to severe “inhuman treatment” at torture cells in the Indian cities of Agra, New Delhi, Mumbay, Jaipur and Brailly , Pakistan’s intelligence officials claim.

In an effort to malign Pakistan, RAW, in collaboration with the Indian army, uses all kinds of brutal and inhuman tactics to extract confessional statements from Pakistani prisoners – an attempt which, they assert, has failed so far.

According to officials, some 110 captives, flown by Indian air force during the Bonn Conference on Afghanistan with the active collaboration of the Northern Alliance, are also being coerced to carry out acts of India-planned sabotage in various Indian cities and later state that their acts are sponsored by Pakistan.

In many cases, these Pakistani prisoners and so-called terrorists are instantly killed to have their identity obliterated.

Officials said that five alleged terrorists, killed by Indian security forces during the December 13 attack on the Indian parliament, belonged to the batch of 110 Pakistani Taliban ferried by India after the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. The Indian government plans to kill those detainees in the near future.

Indian efforts to defame its neighbor and nuclear rival Pakistan include notorious bomb blasts, attacks on important places, abductions, shootings, and hijackings, a Pakistani intelligence official, who refused to be named, maintained.

Indian air force aircraft flew over Tajikistan to pick up those prisoners at Bagram airbase.

Indian relations with the Northern Alliance were remarkably good during the entire Taliban era in Afghanistan. India also provided the NA with weapons during its conflict with the Taliban.

Officials said the Indian intelligence authorities have chalked out a well thought-out plan to release photographs of those Pakistani prisoners to the international media for their so-called involvement in terrorist activities in India.
