Pro-Palestinian Hackers Strike Again

WASHINGTON, May 16 (IslamOnline) - As stone-throwing Palestinians fought pitched battles with militarily superior Israeli forces on Al Nakba, or the "Catastrophe" day, marking the formation of the Zionist state in 1948, another war was silently being fought in the confines of the cyber world.
While it can be debated as to who is actually winning the battle on the streets, there is no question of the fact that pro-Palestinian hacktivists have a clear upper hand in the cyberwars.
WFD, probably the most prolific and sophisticated hacktivists group, attacked several leading Israeli websites and posted facts detailing the atrocities committed by the Israelis.
WFD, which stands for the World's Fantabulous Defacers, is a group of mainly Pakistani hackers with many hacks to their credit. Its motto is "Fighting against injustice and oppression... Hacking for world-wide truth...." m0r0n, nightman and Sub-0 are the leading members of this group.
The group's latest attack was on Tuesday when it attacked the website of Shahal Telemedicine of Israel, a premiere site for "Tele Medicine" in Israel.
Coinciding with Al Nakba Day, a very short but comprehensive history of Israeli occupation from 1948 to the present was presented in Flash media was posted on the site, complete with pictures and appropriately melancholy music.
"Just Another day in the life of a Palestinian. End the Israeli occupation. Stop the Israeli holocaust against the Palestinian people," read the last paragraph on the hacked website.
On Tuesday, WFD also successfully hacked in to the Connector Computers Network of Israel website and posted moving and heartrending pictures of four-month-old baby Iman Hijo and Muhammad al-Durrah, both of whom were killed by the Israelis.
"Apparently, this little innocent baby was, according to Israeli Army just 'another Palestinian terrorist'. She was just a baby. But she too was killed by Israel," cried the caption when images of baby Iman were flashed.
In addition to recent hacks by WFD, there has been a recent escalation on many fronts of the cyberwar in India and Indonesia as well. A full report from IslamOnline will follow soon.
