Muslim Brotherhood Calls For Diplomatic Relations Cut With Israel
CAIRO (IslamOnline) - The Muslim Brotherhood called on the convening members of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) in Qatar to end all diplomatic and economic relations with Israel, and stop any movement towards further relations with the with the Jewish state.
The organization said that past diplomatic efforts had not resulted in anything more than Palestinian concessions and humiliation, stating that although international circumstances prevent war as an option, this should not prevent the OIC from offering support to the Intifada in the Occupied Territories.
It also said that the current situation in the Palestinian territories should not be used to mend some conditions in disputes between the Palestinians and Israelis, but that it should be used to reach a just and fair settlement in which Palestinian rights are restored.
The organization also called for resolving disputes among Muslim nations, and that political freedom in Muslim countries should be respected and reinstated for all political parties and activists.
They also called upon the U.S. administration to bear responsibility for the deteriorating circumstances in the Occupied Territories and the grave situation under which Palestinians are forced to live within these areas while another part of the population are forced to live as refugees.
