Egyptian Police Kill Boy During Clashes
Police shot dead a 15-year-old boy in a Nile Delta town overnight – the first fatality in two days of clashes between police and workers backed by local people, security sources said on Tuesday, April 08, 2008. Clashes started on Sunday when the day shift ended at a giant textile mill where the workers had planned to go on strike for higher wages and protest against high prices. Plainclothes security men inside the factory kept the workers apart from each other and made sure they worked.
