Protests to Mark Iraq War Anniversary
Demonstrations took place in over 30 cities across the world as part of an international day of action to mark the second anniversary of the start of the US invasion in Iraq on Saturday, March 19, 2005. But Britain protest was the biggest as some 100,000 people marched through central London calling for the withdrawal of British troops from the occupied Iraq. Also thousands marched in Tokyo during US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit to Japan protesting Japan's dispatch of 550 troops in Iraq.
