Fresh Rains Raise Pakistan Death Toll to 510
Heavy rains and snow battered Pakistan, raising the death toll from bad weather to around 510, and hindering efforts to aid survivors, Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Some 260 people have died in northwestern Pakistan after a series of avalanches and landslides during the past week. In southwestern Baluchistan province, officials said rains and bursting dams have killed at least 250 people and left up to 2,000 missing.
