Baghdad Car Bombs Kill 22
A car bomb exploded outside a police academy in Hillah, about 60 miles (97 km) south of Baghdad, Wednesday, January 5, 2005, during a graduation ceremony, killing at least 20 people. It was the latest in a string of attacks against Iraqi security forces, seen as collaborators with the US occupation troops. Hours earlier, another car bomb killed two Iraqis in Baghdad. The attacked raised the number of Iraqi policemen killed in the last four months to 1320.
