Tibetans Protest Human Rights Violations
Tibetan people held a silent demonstration in New Delhi to draw attention to Human Rights violations in Tibet, marking International Human Rights Day, Friday, December 10, 2004. The protesters called for the release of Tibetan Buddhist religious leader Tensin Deleg Rinpoche, who was sentenced to death by China in 2002 and awaits execution. Tensin Deleg, 52, was arrested in April 2002 for a bomb attack in Sichuan's capital Chengdu, in which one person was killed and another injured.
