Canadians Protest Against Bush Visit
Protestors angered by US President George W. Bush’s visit to Canada scuffled with riot police in central Ottawa, as fist fights flared on the fringes of mainly peaceful
demonstrations, Tuesday, November 30, 2004. US President George W. Bush was in Ottawa to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin to discuss a number of trade issues. The US leader, highly unpopular among Canadians, said he had been cheered by his reception, even though a total of around 5,000 demonstrators gathered to protest his visit.
