Ukraine: Protesters Try to Enter Parliament
Supporters of Ukrainian opposition presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko tried to enter the Parliament building in Kiev, Tuesday, November 30, 2004, after Ukraine’s parliament voted down a no-confidence motion in the government of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych. The resolution was not supported by the Communist party and received only 196 votes, 30 votes short of the 226 needed for approval in the 450-member assembly.
