US Warplanes Kill Family of Six in Fallujah
US warplanes fired rockets in to central Fallujah early Wednesday, October 20, 2004, killing six people of the same family after striking their house. The couple and their four children had just returned to their home overnight after having fled the city a week earlier, police and witnesses said. Another rocket hit a teachers’ training college in the rebel city, but failed to explode. A US military statement claimed the raids targeted houses used by forces of the militant leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi.
