Riyadh Gun Battle Kills Three Militants 
Saudi security forces killed three suspected militants, and seven officers were wounded, in a gun battle in the capital Riyadh, the country's interior ministry said, Tuesday, October 12, 2004. A spokesman said the security forces stormed a building in the eastern Nahda district in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Saudi Arabia has been battling a wave of violence by militants. More than 160 people have been killed in the past 18 months.
