Hamas Threatens to Strike Israeli Targets
The armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, threatened Sunday, September 26, 2004, to take aim at Israeli targets abroad after one of its members was killed in a car bombing in Syria and blamed on Israel. “The Zionist enemy opened the door for the battle to move outside Palestine. Even though Ezzedine Al-Qassam was concerned to keep the guns in the direction of Israel, it was not us who started the struggle abroad,” Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement.
