Resistance Confronts Israeli Plans to Expand Settlements
Several dozen Palestinian, Israeli, and international demonstrators protest the construction of Israel’s separation barrier at the Israeli border in the West Bank village of Budrus, about 30 km from Tel Aviv, Sunday, September 26, 2004. The demonstrators lightly clashed with Israeli forces protecting the construction work. As the Palestinian uprising enters its fifth year, Israel seems more determined than ever to expand its settlement enterprise in the West Bank, arguably the most contentious aspect of the conflict.
