US Occupation Forces Target Journalists in Iraq
US helicopters fired missiles at a crowd in Haifa Street in the center of Baghdad, Sunday, September 12, 2004, killing a Palestinian journalist. A US occupation armored vehicle was set ablaze as a group of Iraqi men gathered around it, US helicopters fired missiles at the crowd, killing 13 Iraqis and injuring 35 others. Mazin Al-Tumaisi, 28, a Palestinian TV journalist, who worked for the Saudi TV station Akhbariya and as a fixer for the Arab satellite channel Al-Arabiya, was killed covering the fighting. Another two photographers were wounded.
