Iraqi Internal Oil Pipeline Attacked
An Iraqi internal oil pipeline was blown up on the edge of Baghdad, Monday, August 30, 2004, in the latest of a series of attacks on the country's internal and export pipeline network. Another pipeline running to a Baghdad refinery was attacked Sunday, August 29, and several other pipelines forming part of the southern export network were also attacked last week. US oil prices rose Monday as Iraq's oil exports continued at more than 30 percent below normal due to attacks on pipelines.
