Thousands of Americans Organize Anti-Bush Demo
Americans of all stripes vented their rage at President George W. Bush during a demonstration on the eve of the Republican national convention, Sunday, August 29, 2004. Thousands of protesters assembled for Sunday’s planned march past the Madison Square Garden convention site, under the banner “The World Says No to the Bush Agenda.” The United for Peace and Justice group, which sponsored the event, said that people from all over the country are protesting the war in Iraq and other Bush administration policies.
