Indian HIV Children Out of School
HIV-positive children Ananathakrishnan (L) and Akshara (R) play at their house in the Kottiyoor village of India's southern state of Kerala, Monday, July 26, 2004. Parents of more than 400 children threatened not to send their children to the same school with the two children. Ananathakrishnan and Akshara are now to attend classes in a separate room. India has the second largest number of people—around 5 million—living with HIV, after South Africa. (AFP)
