NABLUS,
March 3 (IslamOnline.net) – Covered by Apache helicopters, dozens of
Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers staged an incursion into
the old town of Nablus, the West Bank, early on Monday, March 3, paving
the way for the Israeli occupation troops to abduct more Palestinians
and captured up to 15 Palestinian female school children to use them as
human shields.
Making
their way to school, the children were horrified by Israeli troops, who
captured them to be used as human shields in their incursion.
“My
daughter is one of those captured. She went to school early morning but
never came back,” a bereaved mother told IslamOnline.
The
Israeli occupation soldiers occupied a number of high-rise buildings,
which were turned into barricades for the Israeli snipers after forcing
their residents out, Palestinian sources told IslamOline.
The
Israeli soldiers also abducted three Palestinians from the village of
Beit Aiba, west of Nablus, under the pretext that they are active
members of the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas and planning to carry
out “attacks on Israeli targets.”
In
Qalqilia, the Israeli occupation troops demolished the house of
Palestinian activist Fathi al-Khattib, accused by Israel of being the
mastermind of the Park Hotel operation in the coastal city of Netanya,
which left 29 people killed 140 injured.
For
their part, Israeli military sources said the Nablus incursion marks the
end of a large-scale operation, which has been brought to a halt due to
snow and torrential rains, said the Israeli radio.
The
sources said the Israeli troops will continue storming Nablus until they
“arrest wanted Palestinians” and completely destroy the Palestinian
infrastructure.
A
human catastrophe on a large-scale is on the making in the Palestinian
territories, in general, and in Nablus, in particular, citing shortages
of food stuff, especially, children milk, as well as shortage of
medicines, said Palestinian medical sources.
On
Wednesday, February 19, the Israeli occupation troops launched a
barbaric incursion into the old town of Nablus, during which they
bulldozed flat a myriad of Palestinian houses and shops, leaving nine
people killed, dozens others critically wounded and abducting some 150
Palestinians.
Earlier
on Monday, eight Palestinians including a woman and a child were killed
and some 35 wounded during an Israeli incursion into the Gaza Strip.
On
Sunday, March 2, the Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian man in
Khan Yunis refugee camp in the south of the Gaza Strip, and wounded some
32 others.
