Saudi Mother Of Bad Student Takes Vengeance On Teacher
RIYADH, April 13 (News Agencies) - A Saudi woman furious her son had scored poorly in his classes barged into the school and roughed up his teacher, the al-Madina newspaper reported Friday.
The vengeful 40-year-old threw herself on the instructor, punching, scratching and slapping him in front of other teachers Thursday at an elementary school in Mecca, Islam's holiest city.
Leaving the teacher with a bloodied face, the woman threatened the school principal and other teachers with the same fate if they dared to give bad marks to her son.
Authorities are investigating the incident, the newspaper said.
Last week, eight students in the northwestern city of Thamd were publicly flogged for beating up a group of teachers, seriously injuring one of them.
