father of Jesus, a US marine who was killed in Iraq.
Fernando Suarez del Solar was born in
Toluca,
Mexico in 1956. He immigrated to the United States with his family, including his son Jesus, in the late 1990s, and
has been an American citizen since 1997. Fernando Suarez is an
anti-war activist and a member of Military
Families Speak Out (a group of families with loved ones in
the military who have opposed the invasion and occupation of Iraq). His wife, Rasa Navarro Suarez del Solar, 45, is from Ciudad Obregon
Sonora, Mexico. They live in
Escondido, California. They have 3 daughters – apart from Jesus.

, he was killed in combat in Iraq
