Somali living in Egypt

My name is Noureldin Ibrahim Moalim, I'm 16 years old. I have 7 brothers and sisters and we all live in Egypt for now except for my father that still lives in Somalia.

He had to stay there in order to watch our land and properties and guard them, as there are lots of gangs and terrorists that may attack homes and lands and steal them by force…!!

That's why he rarely come to see us.

My father and mother were married in 1979, and they had their first daughter, my eldest sister, in 1998. Then my second sister in 1982, my third sister in 1984, my first brother in 1985, another sister in 1988, then me in 1990. We were all born in Somalia, except for my little brother who was born 4 years later in Egypt.

I was told that we lived there safely and in luxury until the civil war began in 1991. My father decided we should leave Somalia by any means in fear that any one of us might get killed or attacked, the situation became a mess then. He arranged everything so we can runaway in a military plane to Kenya and from there we moved to Emirates, then to Egypt where we settled down.

We didn't find any problems living in Egypt because the Somali passport was easily allowed and it was very simple to take a visa for a full stay that time. We entered schools and universities, and now we can speak the Arabic Egyptian slang professionally (ntklm masry mazboot al lahga tamam).    

My dream is to see the people of my homeland in good terms with each other, and all those meaningless wars just stop. Because if it happened and peace came back again, It will be one of the best countries in the world, and that's how I want to see it.

I want to come back to rebuild my country, and give it all the things I've learned through my life.
