Hajj Celebrations: OK?

In some cultures, gatherings and celebrations are held for Hajjis before leaving to Makkah and when they are received. Sometimes, like in Egypt, the front of pilgrim's house is painted and drawings of the Ka`bah and the sacred mosque are made on the walls with phrases of welcome to the coming hajjis.

What do you think of these traditions? I am afraid that such celebrations could be some sort of showing off that damage Hajj. I would like to know your opinions.

My opinion is different cultures celebrate differently. I myslef who has a culture who gathers and others comment. Each is their own as long the laws of Shariah and sunnah is not broken. Sometimes Comment is best to leave it alone. Improve oneself is most important.
