This is the act of love that led me down the path to understanding the truth about Islam.  I was hoping you could share it with everyone so that this love will spread and people living in war conditions will know that their love in not in vain.

 

I am a Christian (person of the Book)and from the west and i would like to ask that you don't judge me.  i am not like other Christians.  Catholic which is the main sect of Christianity follow Paul over Jesus and they believe in 1 God made of 3 equal persons, Catholics pray to the prophets, and believe that their religious leaders are perfect and that he speakes for God himself.  This is not my belief because that belief is against the teaching of the Bible and all the Prophets of the Bible.  So to elaberate i am a fundamental Christian who loves only one God!  I am in no way a Catholic.

 

I was watching tv and i noticed that; where a land mine goes off the people of Iraq who are Muslim come and throw garbage and rocks to fill the hole so that no one will trip into it and hurt themselves as is required by the Law given to Moses. i realized that this is not a savage, brutal, uncaring, terrorist people that the western government wants us to think so that we are afraid and then the government can justify Islams opression.  Something just didn't add up in my mind.  I have been told for years that Islam is violent and wants nothing more than to torcher and kill others.  So when I saw this it didn't make sense.  On the news in America they show us the cruelty of terrorist regimes and call them Muslim.  We in the west do know better because we are decieved.  There are many books and magazines that show Islam as uncaring and so so cruel.  But this act of love proved to me that I was being lied to.  So I started studying Islam and am now considering converting.

 

Upon much investigation into Islam I realized that it is almost the same as fundamental Christianity (one loving and caring God who demands obedience).  This came as a complete and utter shock to me as i thought nothing could be further from Christianity than Islam.  This is what they teach in the churches of the west.

 

This act of love and many others show that the Muslim people truly love God and have submitted themselves to his will and not their own. At least most of them.

Please fogive us in the west.  We don't know better.  Imagine what we think about Dancing around covered in blood.  Animal sacrifices.  We don't hear the whole story that not all Muslims are dancing in blood.  We don't hear the whole store that the animals sacrifices go to feed the poor (poor who may have never even tasted meat).
