Is ME Heading to Comprehensive War?

Peace be with you The Situation in the Middle East is escalating violently: Israel bombs Gazan and Lebanese cities and villages; Hizbullah responds with developed rockets, Arab League resorts to the Security Council announcing the complete failure of the whole peace process; fingers point to Iran and Syria again; Syria threatens to respond directly if hit; Iran shows support to Syria; G8 condemns "terrorists" but does not condemn Israel's use of excessive force; Oil prices continue ascent ..etc. Amid this turmoil, numerous questions come to one's mind; Do we expect a visit by the ghost of comprehensive war in ME? What would the shape of ME region would look like if that happens? To what extent would other parts of the world be affected? What Scenario do you think is the closest to take place? Best regards

THE REAL TARGET OF THE ISRALEI AGGRESSION IS IRAN

I offer to your attention some good analysis. Besides I am convinced that this war is a way to involve the USA with military hostilities against Iran. I assert that the real target of the Israeli aggression is the Iranian oil. The actual context is dynamic and inflammatory as the war could escalate to world wide involvement. Given that the G 8 had already expressed concerns and readiness to send peace keeping international forces. If you see my old postings, I asserted that the USA are cracking down economically and logically can't make a war on Iran; on the other hand the USA can in no way compensate for their disastrous state debt of 44 trillions - by no means except a war. I am afraid this is happening....... http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/07/17/1423257

Shameful. Your prejudice and propaganda against Muslims only compounds problems in the world. When the nukes start flying, be sure to pat yourself on the back for helping the world get that far-! And IF you survive boast to the next generation how you contributed to their misery.

First allow me to say that I believe there is a difference between the individual Muslim and the interest of some the Islam religious movements. The believer is different than the man-made religion. The heart and soul of an individual is a different and seperate and cannot be considered the same as the entire world. The employee is not the enterprise. But it is time for the individuals, or Muslims, to individually take the stance of peace they claim and against the mass or enterprise of any religion or ideology that promotes hate, prejudism, and bloodshed. Spritually speaking, we are all individually responsible to God and when we meet our maker, I do not believe God will accept excuses that ones actions were based on the essense of a group of interests. God gave everyone their own heart and soul and the opportunity for every individual to have a personal relationship with Him whereas we know right from wrong. We are ALL accountable to follow the good, grace and mercy of God... not a set of religious ideas. Regards

rockets which islamists have sent into israel recently. And it couldn’t possibly be the natural result of israel being surrounded by islamists who occupy 640 times more land, outnumber the jews 60 times over, and believe Allah has instructed them to fight and destroy the jews. The whole thing is a US conspiracy against the republic of iran, a country which is led by a mentally stable and peaceful man.

A little correction first: "G8 condemns "terrorists" but does not condemn Israel's use of excessive force."
G8 did in fact express grave concern over the Israeli use of force. The did not condemn "terrorists", the word was extremists.
I do not believe there is going to be a war declared. The Israelis are going to try to uproot hizbolla from Lebanon. They are probably going to do by weakening hizbolla to the degree that the Libaneese army can take control of the areas where hizbolla has had their "state in the state".
Lebanons population consists of approximately 40% Shiamuslims, 30% Christians, 20% Sunnimuslims and 8% Druze. The shiamuslims in the south, who have been supporting hizbolla, do not have much support in the other provinces. In the christian societies there is no support to be expected for the refugees from the south. "Not a single rice grain will we give" is an often heard comment. Even with the druze and sunnimuslims there is acceptance of the isreali attacks as long as it helps get rid of hizbolla. This is in very different from the situation in 1996 where people in Beirut housed almost all the refugees from south Lebanon in their homes.
My point is that large parts of the lebanese population would like the hizbolla out of Lebanon. Some christians even cheer the isreali attacks. What could bring on a real war is if Syria and Iran will not to accept the removal of hizbolla from South Lebanon.

I think Bush and Olmert are not capible enough leaders to execute such ancient type plans in 2006. As their fat, weathy puppet masters sit at the table screaming "Bush get me this!" "Olmert get me that!" The reality of the modern times and the way people are now, just make it impossible to fool the world anymore. When there were small amounts of information to control it was easy, but with the internet, the propaganda just doesn't work anymore. The US and Israeli governments can't find anyone with brains who wants to even work for them anymore, either. The truth is out and their moral is broken to an unrepairable state. If not a stalemate, I think Hizb Allah, just might win. As for Iran and Syria.... Bush and Olmert can keep dreaming.

I don't remember me saying that you are "disgusting", "an *****", "need psychiatric help", that you are a "filthy animal"... As a matter of fact, that was YOU. "You know my friends, there comes a time when people get tired of being trampled over by the iron feet of oppression." Dr. Martin Luther King. Hezbollah is only a manifestation of the disease, which Western Governments (i.e. US, GB and France) have infected the region in general and the Palestinians in particular. Let us not forget that the Israelis were engaged in a campaign to eradicate Hammas in Gaza long before this recent escalation with Hezbollah. In spite of all their advances in science and technology Western powers refuse to accept one of the immutable laws of nature: “FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REACTION”. Both sides claim the right to ‘self defense’; both sides claim to be the victims. The Israelis accuse the stateless Palestinians of being terrorists, while the Palestinians accuse the Israelis of being a terrorist state. I believe that there are only two options for the Palestinians and the Israelis, War or Peace. It is clear that war is not the solution because the past 60 years of fighting has only resulted in more death and destruction. It is time for a paradigm shift in our approach to conflict resolution. It is time for men and women of courage to stand up to the agents of death and refuse to engage the wanton slaughter of any of God’s children, because at the end of the day we all belong to the same race; the human race.

But who else could this disease be from if not the West? Certainly, it couldn't be the East?! ;) Always someone else to blame. Unfortunately my friend, the facts don't lie, history cannot be changed. The history of the East is and always has been bloody.... long before the West was established, and long after. That manifestation of today has a common denominator, "religion" and that "religion" is not of the West. These man-made religious ideologies is pretty much a call and gathering of armies and rebels, in the name of God. I don't know which god you think this "disease manifestation" is from but, it appears to be more from the "father of lies" whom wants to rule with bloodshed and like a god. Regards

The disease was first spread to the ME by the Christian Crusaders, and they did in fact come from the West. Here are a few historical references that you may find useful in your search for clarity. Salaam/Shalom/Peace The history of so-called 'western civilization' is replete with examples of barbarism, savagery, atrocities, massacres, genocides, holocausts, and the use of weapons of mass destruction not to mention invasion, slavery, segregation, apartheid, colonization, and imperialism. In the fourth century, Emperor Constantine, the first Roman Emperor to become a Christian, had over 3000 Christians executed because their interpretation of the Bible did not agree with his. That is more than the number of Christians who died at the hands of the Romans during the well known 1st century "Christians to the lions" persecutions. In 777, Charlemagne, a devout Christian, after conquering the Saxon rebels, gave them a choice between baptism and execution. When they refused to convert, he had 4500 of them beheaded in one morning. In 1122 Christian crusaders swept over Jerusalem and slaughtered men, women and children, 'until their horses were knee deep in blood. We then went to the church to thank the Lord for his mercy.' The above are from William Manchester's "A World Lit Only by Fire- The Medieval Mind and The Renaissance". Little, Brown & Company, 1992 Queen Isabella, famous for sending Columbus to the New World in 1492, was well known also for her 'Spanish Inquisition', the gruesome torture and murder of tens of thousands of Spanish Jews, Muslims, homosexuals, people who read or wrote, uppity women, and anyone else not up to the Queen's strict standards. Isabella was a champion of the faith, piously congratulating herself as her victims writhed to their deaths in the flames and the many other ingenious methods of torture invented by her inquisitors. World War I ("The War to End All Wars") saw the introduction of "chemical" weapons of mass destruction and total casualties of over 8 million killed and over 21 million wounded. World War II saw the introduction of "nuclear" weapons of mass destruction, the wholesale slaughter of over 6 million European Jews, and total casualties of over 50 million killed. Korean War, Almost half a million South Koreans died as a result of the war, and an unknown number of North Koreans and Chinese. Vietnam War, Number of South Vietnamese military killed during the war 220,357. Number of South Vietnamese military personnel wounded 499,000. Estimated number of North Vietnamese military/Viet Cong KIA 444,000. Estimated number of Vietnamese civilians killed 587,000. Estimated number of Vietnamese civilians wounded in war 935,000. Gulf War 1, estimates ranging from 1500 to 158,000 Iraqis -- 86,194 men, 39,612 women and 32,195 children. Sanctions against Iraq: United Nations estimates that over 500,000 childern have died because of the sanctions. Afghanistan, Unknown military and civilian deaths. Gulf War 2, Unknown military and civilian deaths. Ever since the United States Army massacred 300 Lakotas in 1890, American forces have intervened elsewhere around the globe 100 times. Indeed the United States has sent troops abroad or militarily struck other countries' territory 216 times since independence from Britain. Since 1945 the United States has intervened in more than 20 countries throughout the world. Since World War II, the United States actually dropped bombs on 23 countries. These include: China 1945-46, Korea 1950-53, China 1950-53, Guatemala 1954, Indonesia 1958, Cuba 1959-60, Guatemala 1960, Congo 1964, Peru 1965, Laos 1964-73, Vietnam 1961-73, Cambodia 1969-70, Guatemala 1967-69, Grenada 1983, Lebanon 1984, Libya 1986, El Salvador 1980s, Nicaragua 1980s, Panama 1989, Iraq 1991-1999, Sudan 1998, Afghanistan 1998, and Yugoslavia 1999, and Iraq 2003. LOL Now you say the Christians have caused ALL the wars in the world. oh please... the numbers don't add up not to mention that Christians came about 2000 years ago, and like I said, there has been war in the ME long before Christianity and long after. I of course am not saying there were never lunitic Christian cults, because there has been. But the numbers don't compare and they certainly aren't at fault for all the wars in the ME, much less in the world! I am not going here further here because this is not only ludicrus, but just not even true ;) Regards

First of all I never said Christians have caused ALL the wars in the world. My point is that the so-called Christian West has been responsible for most of the bloodshed and destruction in the past 2000 years. I did not even add the holocaust of slavery, or the annihilation of Native American Indian peoples to the list. Secondly I backed up my assertions with historical facts and figures. All you could come up with is “the numbers don’t add up…” The irony is that all this inhumanity and butchery was done in the name of a man called Jesus Christ, who preached that his followers should “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. From anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt. Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again”. The irony is that while the so-called Judeo-Christian West continues to preach freedom, liberty and democracy it does so at the point of a gun. The irony is that the mass murder of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was committed by the so-called Judeo-Christian civilization that now pretends to be concerned about world peace while they continue to look for weapons of mass destruction in Islamic countries. There are way too many ironies on way too many levels for me to list them all here but suffice for me to quote one more saying of Jesus Christ: You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Subhanallah...and may He reward the researcher of this information for his time and efforts. I guess the facts hurt, so there will be those that will try and disrepute the findings. Based on the age of the United Satans of America (USA), I would say that they had killed / wounded / displaced more humans per anum than any nation in the history of mankind, all for the sake of what??? "Freedom" and "Peace"!!! What "Freedom"? What "Peace"??? They sound like a nation of War Mongerers to me. There is a another option to a "Comprehensive War"...That is "Sanctions". This seems to be a very good "Peaceful" option that is widely used and accepted by both United Satans (US) and United Nianderthals (UN). So how can the Islamic States or the Middle Easter Countries place sanctions on the US or the rest of the world for that matter??? I will give you one clue - "Black Gold". Close the taps and watch THEM beg. No need for war and death. This is such a gr8 bargenning tool and tactic. Im sure they have thought of this and I believe that this is the real reason why they are creating conflict and disunity on the ME region. So rather threaten them financially than militarily. It will result in less lives being lost. Certainly, they will never invade Saudi and the other peaceful nations to persue economical wealth so blaitently. Use the gift / curse of Allah against the Infidels.

Why can't all of this money spent on wars with israel be used to buy up all the housing and businesses in Israel and give the money to the jews so they can go shopping around the world to see if someone will sell them some land. That way they would be legit. Israel is such a tiny country, I can't believe all these people are fighting over this tiny piece of land. Is this tiny piece of land worth all of these destroyed homes and lives? I don't think so. As a gesture, the Palestinians could give them Visas to visit holy sites. The Palestinians could protect jewish and Christian Holy Sites. They could allow some of them to live there if they want to buy back a house that a Palestinian would sell them. I know this sounds far out, but do you have a better idea?

I am not surprise if we got ourselves in situation where Bush and his co-robbers start to kill the Iranians for their oil and Syrians for their land. This is what the theives do as part of their nature. The world failed to understand the nature of the theives in the U.S. that all they ever do is murder, rob, and murder again. The facts that these theive spend billions making machines to kill and rob the international community should have given us a clue of their evil nature. I just hope than when the times come and Bush and his co-robbers finally start to murder the Iranians for their oil, the Iranians and others who have sympathy for the Iranians people can retaliate against the theives in a way that will keep them under control. I hope Hizballah attack the theive robbery operation targets and their supporters to help ease the human suffering of the international community.
