For me Ramadan is the month I wait for eagerly so I can raise my connection with Allah and feel the miraclous spirituality surround me.

I love buying a big Lantern and light it every night after we break our fast till dawn, I love praying Taraweeh with my family and my friends in the masjed, and then compete in reading the Qur'an and it's explanation and may be some other useful stuff.

I love it when we gather in the kitchen helping our mom making our iftar and then gather in the dining room eating quickly to go and pray.

I really love Ramadan month, and hope everyone does his best to satisfy Allah and take the best advantage to get close to him by Good deeds and sincere Duaa'

Ramadan is the month of the Quran. It is for renewing my relation to the Quran in  an atmosphere full of security and quietness. It is a chance for more prayers and duaa. When I start duaa in the the last ten nights in Ramadan, I feel it will be endless. It is an occassion for spiritual supply for the rest of the year.

Assalamu Alaikum ikhwah

For me, Ramadan means the beginning of a new year. Even though the new year begins with Muharram, Ramadan is so significant, that I think of the year in terms of the time between this Ramadan and the next.

I guess you could say that this is because Ramadan is the time to spiritually refuel. We have a lot more free time because we don't cook until before sunset, and this is a great time to reflect on the past year, and plan for the coming times.

I especially love exam times during Ramadan, because of the quiet in the house and the peaceful atmosphere, which is great for learning. People complain that they can't think when they are hungry. I think that it is easier when you have an empty stomach.

Ramadan is the month for all of us to get washed off with all our sins and evil deeds. I hope this Ramadan we'll all work hard to pursue things as per stated by almighty Allah and I pray that all the ummah get all the rewards which they deserves by our Lord

Ahlan Wa Sahlan Ya Ramadhan. A manifestation of Allah's Love. A month full of baraqah - a bonus month for all of Allah's worshippers. A time to know one's self - to differentiate which is Ruh and which is Nafs. To teach Nafs to listen to the Ruh instead of the opposite.

If in this holy month of Ramadhan, the Nafs who has no ally the Satan, can still has an upper hand, then we should declare an all out jihad. Jihad against our own Nafs. The enemy within. Shame to those who lose to Nafs and for those who seems to be winning, to exalt Allah Ar-Rahman  for assisting those who fight in His path.

Indeed, this is the month for self-reflection. If after Ramadhan there is no change at all, then we seems to lose the fight against our own enemy the Nafs. However, if we manage to change into a better person, then it means victory is ours. We will return to our natural born self - The Fitrah. Hence Eidil Fitr is a celebration for our jihad against the Nafs.

My personal target this Ramadhan is to understand what is Ikhlas and Redha.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

I always make the intention of getting up for the night prayer or Tahajjud but rarely ever make it,most of the time I switch of the alarm clock in sleep realizing only at Fajr time that the faithful alarm had woken me but sleep over took me.But Ramadan is the only time when I don't miss my Tahajjud and its the most peaceful time to make Duas.May be b'coz ..................when Ramadan comes see who is leaving...........

Don't forget that guy in that picture is saying 'I'll be Baccck!"

That is why we must sharpen our shield that is suppress our Nafs as much as possible so that when its master (the Satan) returns, it will not easily follow him.

When my son was 7 years old and started training his fast, he always seems to be going to the toilet saying that he wanted to wash his face. When this thing happened too often, I started to  suspect something. However I did not scold him yet. After all his fasting was only for half a day. The year after that, I caught him red-handed and talked to him nicely about being sincere.

Same can be said about my son who too started fasting some 3 years back but ofcourse he fast only when he has a holiday.Inshaallah by the next 2 years we hope he will be able to fast the whole month before he reaches his puberty.

The problem with my sons fasting is,he can go without food the whole day but water is something he needs to drink every few minutes. He gets up to have a glass of water during breakfast, while he is just about to leave home for school, when its lesson time or say bedtime for every thing he does he first has to have water........amazing.So this Ramadan too when he fasted on the first day I saw him filling the glass at the water cooler and the moment I yelled 'what are you doing?'he looked at me sheepishly and said 'oopps I forgot I am fasting' :)
