Salaam every one,

The atmosphere which is created in the month of Ramadhan is amazing, every1 is just so happy, you feel, warm and glowing on the inside as well as the outside and you feel so spiritual and connected to Allah Subhanu'Watallah.

but at the end of the day do you think that Ramadan is a good chance for an intra-dialogue between the different Muslim groups and sects in Europe ?

How  can we overcome the sensitivities among the Muslim groups and sects and avoid major tensions?

 Ramadan Mubarak

In order to reunite we need to place the islam above our disputes, and differences in interpetations and thoughts. We muslims are known for our obidience, so if imaams and other prominents start to reuinite we probable will follow. But as long as they put there differences above the importance of ONE islamic ummah, we will never unite.

Its really sad to see people calling them self muslim and prominent(scholars-ullama), but dont act according to what our prophet mohammed saws and the holy quran told us to.And as long as those people keep on telling people to divite from other islamic groups, and learn there teachings as the only truth, there will be no unity amoung muslims.

Every muslim has to know that division and disunion, only servers the evil. And those who want to harm muslims and the islam, division makes us weak and weakness is the perfect place for the shayatien.

The only answer is to place the islam above our ego and unislamic pride, and make an start to repair all our errors and wrongdoings over the centuries.Diviting is easy, uniting is mutch harder.

Let us and especially our prominent muslim brothers and sisters act for the sake of our religion, and our brothers and sisters muslims!

We are all accessary to this disunion/division, for letting it continue!

(sorry for my english, its bad)

A Unified Muslim Leadership in each European Country

European Muslims need to elect one Mufti in each European country.

In doing so, it will be the responsibility of the Mufti to decide on the start and end of Ramadan, and other issues which would helo bring all French Muslims together, all German Muslims together, all UK Muslims together, ... etc.

Without a unified leadership, imo, European Muslims will never be united.

Salaam every one,

i think that i dont agree with you cortboy, coz having a mufti in every country would divide Muslims more and more but they maybe have plenty of Mufty but each one in a single country and united under one Islamic umbrella, let's say a council or something of that sort.

but do we need to be united by a higher superurity or power, when we will have the courage to do it by ourselves and start forgetting the differences among us and every one would go and pray in other mosque than of his group or ethencity?

i think we are going back to Jahiliyyah when we keep on stressing on our ethencity.

Salaam

There are many Muslim "umbrella" organizations in Europe, but European Muslims are still not united.

Electing one Mufti in each country means that in that country all Muslims would start Ramadan on the same day, and celebrate Eid on the same day.

That would be a good start.
