Salams all. In a few days we'll be fasting. Ramadan is just around the corner. It means the chance to have a fresh start, throw off old habits and bring some new and better ones on board. Time to seek Allah's forgiveness and get your life back on track. Where is your life heading? Are you happy with the way you are? Do you wish you could give yourself a good spring cleaning?

Share your goals with us and not just that, but also share how you plan to achieve those goals..... to achieve success, we need 50% committment and the other 50% is a good plan.

Oh and by the way join us this coming Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 at  2  pm GMT as we talk about Ramadan with Idris Tawfiq on the Youth 4 the Future Radio broadcast..... Don't miss out....!

Assalamu alaikom wa rahamatullahi wa barakatu

Yeah, you are right, it is Ramadan, our beloved visitor. Ramadan used to come and salute us, but also Ramadan leaves before we reply back his salam in the best way as our prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us.

Yeah, we have to have a good plan for Ramadan, that's really very important, but in my opinion, we have to do our best to stick to it . This is more important. For me, I used to put a plan for Ramadan few days before, and try to prepare myself to welcome it and to take the advantage of being alive during Ramdan, but life, and surroundings circumstances stand as an obstacle against fulfilling what I planned for. So, we have to learn how to overcome any obstacle and make each day of ramadan counts!

Let's include each other in our prayers and ALL Muslims, and ask Allah to help and support our efforts to take the chance of Ramadan.

Wasalam

Assalaamu alaikum

With just 3 days to go before Ramadhaan, one is indeed filled with thghts on how to prepare for Ramadhaan. Personally, I mentally prepare myself, & just look forward to welcoming the month. The moment it arrives it brings with it a unique sense of spiritual energy.

One is imbued with a feeling of goodness, and one strives to offer as much worship as possible. I just 'am' in Ramadhaan- allowing the month to raise me to new heights. The desire to increase tilaawat of the holy Qur'an, the desire to offer as many nafl prayers (especially Salaatul Tasbeeh) , the desire to constantly be remembering & praising Allah is a desire I delightfully indulge.

All the angst of the past year slips away, and one feels a closeness with One's Creator that is unmatched. It's difficult to describe the exact emotions it evokes in me-it's just a simple sublime sense of purity.
