Mumbai Attacks.. What Motives Behind Them?

At least 80 people are reported to have been killed and 250 wounded in a series of gun and grenade attacks across the Indian city of Mumbai. Attacks were launched on about eight places in Mumbai, India's main financial centre, police said. Armed men attacked a crowded Mumbai train station, a restaurant popular with tourists and several luxury hotels, often firing indiscriminately. Westerners were also being held by armed men at the venue, according to media reports. "They wanted anyone with British or American passports," one witness at the hotel told the NDTV Indian news channel. "They wanted foreigners." Six foreigners are among the dead, police have said. Witnesses at both hotels said the attackers singled out British and American citizens. "They kept shouting: 'Who has US or UK passports?'" said Ashok Patel, a British citizen who fled from the Taj Mahal. http://english.aljazeera.net/news/asia/2008/11/2008112617472965818.html What do you think are the motives behind those attacks?

Assalaamualaikum, I strolgly feel that there is international body involvement. And the main target was ATS Chief and that has been acheived. This person was investigating on a very critical cases of bomb blast in which Army personnels and Collonels and some Radical hindu outfits were involved. And what is more shocking ins that this has received threat and criticism from several hindu outfits. May Allah reveal their plan and may the curse of Allah be upon the liar. They Planned and Allah Plans and Allah is the best of planner.

Bomb blast are not new in Mumbai the city has suffered many such blast before but this is the first time that the terrorist are on the lose and the security is caring out operation to rescue the hostages many are foreigners.
The motive of the attack is still not known and it is too early to point fingers the media has started accusing some Jihadi outfit, some unknown group called the Deccan Mujahiddeen who are responsible for this attack. But I suspect that this whole drama is been carried out to divert attention from the Sadhvi Praghya case who is accused of the Malegaon blast and they had vowed to kill Police inspector Hemant Kerkare who is now dead in this encounter.
At the same time it is puzzling to know why the terrorist wanted to target British and American passport holders.
Details of the recent happenings can be found here.

This is another example of Jihadi groups carrying out acts of bloody murder. However, I believe that they have seriously miscalculated. How can they think that the 900 Million hindus in India will not retaliate? This will bring bloody retrobution upon the Muslim population. In addition, this act of terrorism will gain the sympathy of other countries and will give the green light in cracking down on islamic extremism.
This will increase the amount of hostility towards muslims everywhere. The Hindus will strike back, and then other countries will increase the tempo against jihadi groups. This will be like 911 all over again.

As-Salamu 'Alaykum: Let us first remember that Mumbai is the financial center of India just as NY is the financial center of America. Second this attack was meant to make chaos and panic. Where ever there is chaos and panic, there is a pretext for military action. Don't be surprised if there is internal involvement within the Indian Government, police or military. Allahu 'Alam

1.How come the Colaba Police did not respond to the Leopold massacre? The restaurant is just across the road and the sound of the AK-47 gunfire, the screams of the victims, the chaos of motorists escaping the scene... ought to have been audible at least 100 metres away.
2.Why weren’t the casualties sent to elite, private hospitals like Breach Candy and Jaslok nearby, and even Hinduja and Leelavati further away, when the facilities and infrastructure at government run St.George, GT and JJ Hospitals were clearly incapable of dealing with the vast number of injured, dying and dead?
3.If the terrorists had detailed blueprints of the Taj and Oberoi, why weren’t the NSG commandos provided with them before conducting rescue operations?
4.What purpose did the visits by politicians like Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, L K Advani and Jaswant Singh serve? How dare Narendra Modi offer Hemant Karkares family a cash compensation? Hadn’t he criticised the ATS chief and called him anti national just a short while ago?
5.It took the combined efforts over 60 hours of the Mumbai Police and hundreds of commandos of the Army, Navy and National Security Guard to flush out just 20 odd terrorists armed with sophisticated weapons and explosives... how will we ever fare in a war with nuclear armed neighbours?
6.How did the few terrorists manage to carry on their campaign over three days without sleep and food? Whereas each place under siege had to regularly have fresh and new teams of commandos pressed into operation over the 60 hours.
7.How did the terrorists sneak all that sophisticated weaponry and explosives past hotel security which otherwise looks into every woman’s handbag and frisks men entering the premises?
8.Why weren’t the Taj and Oberoi simultaneously stormed by the hundreds of commandos from all entries, with additional forces dropped onto the roof by choppers as at Nariman House, when it was known that there were just few terrorists holed up inside the hotels? Wouldn’t such an operation have taken the terrorists by surprise? After all, they weren’t guarding all the entries ...
9.Were attempts made to contact the terrorists and negotiate the release of hostages?
10.Aren’t hostages taken for a purpose such as barter against a safe escape, the release of imprisoned terrorists, huge amounts of cash, etc?
11.Who was in charge of the entire rescue operation? Wouldn’t one competent and deciding authority have handled it faster and smoother and more responsibly? Shouldn’t it have been the state home ministry?
12.What happens to the lone, captured terrorist? Who gets custody of him? Who interrogates him? Did the Indian government really expect Pakistan to send its ISI chief over to help in the probe?
13.Where were the carbine wielding policemen on CST when the terrorists opened fire? Aren’t the GRP and RPF offices on the station? Why didn’t they prevent the terrorists from walking away calmly after the massacre towards Cama Hospital to kill again?
14.Who is going to tell the politicians where they get off? Who will cast the first stone of a civil revolution, a people’s war, against the corrupt and communal leaders who have brought the nation to this brink of complete destruction?

The swiftness with which the media blamed “Al-Qaeda” was staggering, especially considering the fact that the attacks had not even concluded before the boogeyman was whipped out of the closet once more to act as a poster child for the war on terror and allow the TV networks to show lots of blood, panic and authority figures pointing guns at people. http://www.prisonplanet.com/mumbai-attacks-blamed-on-al-qaeda-as-pretext-for-us-military-response.html

Chopra: Attack prompts tough questions
India at this moment has to contain any reactive violence from the fundamentalist Hindus, which is very likely and possible. So India has to condemn that by not blaming local Muslims. They have to identify the exact groups.
And the world has to be very careful that they don't go after the wrong people. Because if you go after the wrong people, you convert moderates into extremists. It happens every time, and retribution against innocent people just because they have the same religion actually aggravates and perpetuates the problem.http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/11/26/king.chopra.mumbai/index.html
Chopra is correct. It is the US and Israeli actions directed against ALL Muslims that drives moderates into being extremists. They see clearly and correctly that the US and Israel are not interested in peaceful co-existence. They see what is happening in Gaza, they hear the speeches about the "Clash of civilizations", they know the dirty tricks that are played then blamed on Muslims.

Uff,at last! I have already started to worry that Muslims will not use their usual trick of putting the blame on the USA and Israel-but no,Muslims have not dissapointed me. The experts say that Indian Mujahideen may have been involved. The India-based group first became well-known approximately one year ago, when it declared war on India for what it called anti-Muslim persecution and support for the U.S. It has murdered dozens in previous terrorist attacks, including an attack in May that killed 63. Indian Mujahideen is not the only terrorist group capable of mass-casualty attacks, however. Experts also suspect the Army of the Pure terrorist group, which murdered over 200 people in the Mumbai train station in 2006. The Mumbai train station was one of the locations targeted in Wednesday and Thursday's attack.

This is not Mossad or Hindu extremists. The likelihood is that these people are Islamic fanatics linked to Lashkar e toiba and probably trained by ISI.

We all know that Hindu extremists have committed terrorist acts in the past. However, you need to look at the facts and acknowledge that there is a problem with terrorism in south asia comming from Pakistan. Just because you are Muslim do not feel the need to shift the blame, we must fight this problem together, terrorists do not serve to help Muslims causes anywhere.

This is what happens when Muslims choose violence as negotiation. Muslims all over the world are crying about being oppressed, then do acts of violence which brings more violence upon them in turn. Osama bin Laden destroyed the twin towers for some incoherent reasons which were not valid at all. That lead to the conquest of both Iraq and Afghanistan. The attacks on Mumbai will lead to a backlash from the (much larger) hindu community. As long as Muslims choose violence against other faiths and try to kill the `infidel`, other cultures will retaliate in kind.

I have heard from a friend in Mumbai that this situation was predicted weeks ago, in retaliation for the ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) having interrogated high ranking Hindu spiritual leaders in connection with past bombings (that were undertaken to discredit Moslems). Under interrogation the Hindu leader had admitted to involvement in the bombings and pointed to Indian government army supplying weapons. The ATS's interrogation began revealing more and more prominent Hindu leader and government involvement, hence this attack was staged, involving international tourists, to lure the head of the ATS on site, in order to kill him (which was their original intention). In addition, by making it appear as though the government troops 'rescue' the international tourists, it makes the government forces out to be big heroes, garnering the respect and gratitude of Britain and USA. One thing for certain, the group has expensive and sophistocated backing, though the actual on-site terrorists are all very young. It is even possible that government would be able to trick young, inexperienced wanna-be-Islamic-terrorists to carry out their plan, telling them that it really is an Islamic attack, when in fact it could have been a government and Hindu devised attack in order to regain discredit Moslems, and to get the population to turn their attention away from the results of the Hindu leader interrogations, which implicated the government. I am wondering why none of the International news agencies have put any spotlight on the fact that there had been threats towards the ATS weeks ago ... and the threats have been fully carried out with yesterday's killing of the Anti Terrorist Sqad leader. (and by the way, I am neither Moslem nor Hindu. I live in Canada and look at this issue from an unbiased perspective, just putting two and two together of the events over the past few weeks).

Thank you,now all is clear. The American government organized 9/11 to discredit muslims. The Indian government organized the whole serie of the murderous attacks, including the last one, just in order to discredit muslims. The Russian goverment organized Budinovks,Dubrovnik and Beslan just in order to discredit... The British Government... The Spanish Government. The Indonesian Government... The Turkish Government... And of course, the Israeli government organized the attacks on Sderot, sending the Mossad in Gaza and ordering them to pass for arabs..Also,this vile Israeli government organized the attacks on ice-cream cafes in Heifa during the childrens´holiday just in order..well,you know. "and by the way, I am neither Moslem nor Hindu. I live in Canada and look at this issue from an unbiased perspective...", Sure, buddy. You´re just a neutral observer.

I'm just a Moose; but it is self-evident even to us Mooses that Islam is entirely blameless in this entire affair. Muslims would never, ever, ever do such heinous acts. Muslims do not even know which end of a gun to point at. FYI, all of you Muslims should hold the end with the hole towards yourselves when firing. That is all I have to say at this time. astFor you Israel haters, Israel will not fall for a loooong time. They will get support from the US forever. They remain the most powerful entity in the Middle East. They can easily crush the militaries of the pathetic Arab states around them. Now that Iraq is under US control, what can stand up to the IDF at this point? The Israeli military routinely defeats the arabs around them so it is obvious that God is supporting them. Allah abandoned the Arabs long ago...

Dear JJC
I wonder why you are wasting your valuable time here without joining the Indian investigating team. Bcos you are seems to be a talented military analyst. It’s amazing how you came for the conclusion that it’s not Mozzad or Hindu terrorist while the whole world is in confusion. Even the western media cannot link Muslims with this attack as they are doing usually.
I am asking few simple questions if you a thing called “brain” in you body?
1. Can anyone in the world remember or worry about the case against Hindu terrorist cell which was unveiled by Maharashtra’s Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare? Now its successfully diverted. Isn’t it? 2. Where is now Karkare? Wasn’t he targeted and wiped out his from this world by the terrorists at the initial stage of this Drama? 3. Why Indian forces or any media didn't show a single dead body of terrorist so far? 4. How the so-called "foreign terrorists" can continuously fight for more than 2 days without worrying about the stock of the weapons. They are frequently blasting, shooting and setting fires here and there? Did they bring such a large quantity of military hardware? 5. If so, how they brought such a large quantity of weapons for this attack. Isn't it amazing that they are getting enough weapons just like somebody is giving and updating the ammunition stock to continue the attack successfully? 6. Won't you believe this kind of a barbaric nasty killings a can only be done by a group which is motivated by ultra-racism such as RSS, VHP, Isralai military etc.? 7. Usually, what Indian films promotes? If a political leader or party wants to achieve something he would invoke his thugs to set fire to public property, attack innocent people, set bombs, blast cities and make communal violence. The main story of more than 60% of Indian films encourages this attitude. So this is not a big thin for Hindu racists.
I am sure, Insha Allah, Allah will reveal the fact to the whole. Then all will know who are the barbaric terrorists who could attack their own land and kill their fellow countrymen.
Let’s wait and see.
Wassalam

Dear farzanrazi You so desperately tried to be ironic, that finally, ended as amusing. ." Can anyone in the world remember or worry about the case against Hindu terrorist cell which was unveiled by Maharashtra’s Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare? Now its successfully diverted. Isn’t it? 2. Where is now Karkare? Wasn’t he targeted and wiped out his from this world by the terrorists at the initial stage of this Drama?” Do you know that Hemant Karkare was killed while he personally headed one of the anty-terrorist groups which assaulted the terrorists? And if he were only wounded? And if he broke the leg two hours before tha assault and could not take active part in it?Then what? Then it would look like this:Mossad, one of the strongest and most competent Intelligence Services of the world, sent a group of 60 suicide-fighters to make a mayhem in the capital of India, one of the main trade partners of Israel, to murder 150 foreigners, among them some 20 Israelis, just in order to kill some guy from ATS,with very high chances that he would stay alive? If you seriously believe in this, then you are even more stupid than your questions are. “3. Why Indian forces or any media didn't show a single dead body of terrorist so far?” Are you a necrophiliac ? What are you going to do with these photos of dead terrorists? To resuscitate them, hitting them with a piece of meat of the yellow cow, as Muhammad once did? But you do not posess the magic power he, reportedly, had. 4. How the so-called "foreign terrorists" can continuously fight for more than 2 days without worrying about the stock of the weapons. They are frequently blasting, shooting and setting fires here and there? Did they bring such a large quantity of military hardware? 5. If so, how they brought such a large quantity of weapons for this attack You,evidently, were not a star of math in your school, right? And you, evidently, have not served in the Army. There were 60 terrorists who participated in the attack. They attacked 5 targets,i.e. 12 attackers per target. All the eyewitnesses confirm that they had rucksacks. They landed from boats, not from planes. It means they had not weight limit. They did not need any food, because it was a short suicide raid, which makes free a lot of space in the rucksack. They did not need any short-arms or knives, only the machine guns or assault rifles, which also makes free a lot of space in hte rucksack. A normal commando landed from plane or a chopper, with 4 days food ratio and with standard set of weapon can carry about 300 bullets, 6 grenades , plastite or mines. The guys we are talking about could easily carry 900 bullets(the Kalashnikov fully-loaded disk has 30 bullets),6 or 8 grenades, plastite or mines. Quite an arsenal! And to add to this: the guys were sitting under cover,in the buildings, and also cared to protect themselves with the “human shield” of hostages. Now, multiply this for 12-and you will understand( maybe, although I am not sure),why it took so much time to the Indian Army and ATS forces to neutralize the bandits. “6. Won't you believe this kind of a barbaric nasty killings a can only be done by a group which is motivated by ultra-racism such as RSS, VHP, Isralai military etc.?” No,I won´t. Such a barbaric nasty killings can more probably be done by the same kind of people who could in cold blood kill 3000 civilian Americans, 450 civilian Spanish, and over 200 of civilian English.By the same kind of people who could in cold blood kill 200 tourists in Bali and cut the head before the camera to a 70 years-old absolutely innocent man from South Korea. To put it short:by MUSLIMS.who, besides, are well-known for their close ties with Hitler´s Germany and for their deep admiration of Hitler´s ideas and methods. The crap about “what the Indian films usually promote” is not worth answering.

Dear "Krack"O This is how the enemies of Islam usually fabricate and develop the terrorist drama throughout the history. This is not new. Ok, tell what the hell the entire Indian intelligence and other security system were doing while those 60 terrorist entering the city, studying the entire environment, carrying enough weapons in their rucksacks etc. How none of them were alerted? Can you imagine such a situation? Israel would do anything, even kil thier own people, if they want to defame Muslim and Islam.
Its shows its a well planned Drama.

With all my respect to your opinion, but 10-15 men can not attack 10 targets and held them for 60 hours.

Let´s count together . After landing in Colaba, the terrorists moved north and attacked the Colaba police station, possibly as a single unit. The attack on the police command and control node disrupted the police response and pinned down police units. From the Colaba police station, the assault force broke up into smaller teams and fanned out to hit secondary targets throughout Mumbai. At least one police van was hijacked and the terrorists drove around the city, firing automatic weapons from the truck at random targets. In all, 10 locations, including the police station, were attacked. The assault teams struck at vital centers where foreigners were likely to congregate: the five-star Taj Mahal and Trident hotels, the Nariman House (an orthodox Jewish center), the Cama hospital, the CSP train station, a cinema, and a cafe were all struck almost simultaneously. Two Taxis were also blown up near the airport in the north and the docks in the southern part of the city. Gunmen opened fire indiscriminately in the hotel lobbies and at the cafe, cinema, train station, and the Jewish center. At the hotels, gunmen then sought out foreigners holding American, British, and Israeli passports. More than 200 hostages were reported to have been held at the Taj and scores more at the Trident and the Jewish center. Mumbai was under siege as police and counterterrorism officials struggled to regain control of the city. If all struck at the same time at the cafe, then other targets were attacked by groups, right? It means 5 targets, and the number of attackers per every target must be 3 gunmen(if,as you say, there were maximum 15 attackers) .Do you think that a group of 3 gunmen can successfully subdue the Taj Mahal and Trident hotels, each of which has over 300 rooms in 30 floors?10 floors per every terrorist! Just imagin that you are the terrorist.Would you be able to control 10 floors of Taj Mahal? And HOLD THEM FOR ALMOST 30 HOURS AGAINST THE COMMANDOS ATTACKS? The Indian police estimates the number of attackers at least in 25 persons. And I think this number will soon grow.

If you look at the news reports the troops repeatedly stormed the hotels. But because they were so big the terrorists were simply able to escape and re emerge.

What do you mean by "they were able to escape and re-emerge"???The hotelss were blocked hermetically by hte police and Army forces, all the entrances and exits were under control of the snipers, the choppers controlled them from the air.How could te terrorists "escape"?And ,what is even more improabable;how could they re-emerge? Have you ever seen how the commandos work during the assault? You would not be able to escape even in your sweetest dream, and about "re-emerging"...I do not even want to discuss the possibility of the terrorsts re-entering the hotel after it was assaulted. It´s impossible. No,JJL,the assault troops did not enter the hotels and then just left, leavng it to the terrorists again. And the fact that it took so much ime to prepare the assault only means that the terrorists in hte hotels were, 1.numerous enough; 2.took a lot of hostages(which is impossible for a group of 3 persons) ,making the human shield out of them . 3.mined te possible ways of entrance of the assaulting troops(which is also impossible for a group of 3 men because they will have to simultaniously control the hostages ,control the movement of the government troos - and mine the accesses. They were more than 3 men ,JJl.

Dear anrazi. You,evidently, overestimate yout importance for the West .Until yout crazy coreligionists started their attacks on the West , 99% of the populatin of Europe and America didn´t *** about you and your religion The Westerners started to get interested in Islam only after the 9/11 attack. So,if you really think that the West does not sleep at night, thinking about how "to defame islam" better, you´re even sillier. "Ok, tell what the entire Indian intelligence and other security system were doing while those 60 terrorist entering the city, studying the entire environment, carrying enough weapons in their rucksacks etc". OK,I shall tell you.3 or 4 persons enter India absolutely legally,as tuorists for example, without any arms and other suspicious objects. They registrate in the hotel, and live a normal life of a tourist, visiting different places in the city, making photos of Taj Mahal - and preparing the information for the hit squad. In about two weeks, when the information is ready, the group of gunmen land from the small boats. They can bring the arms with them, there is quite enough space in the rucksacks for an assault rigfle, cartridges, grenades and mines.Or they can take the arms from the previously prepared hiding places, where they will be placed in advance by another group.Such hiding places will be at least three,in case one or two of them is found by the police.I,personally, think they brought the weapons with them. The version that the gunmen used the rooms in the hotel as a store house is a total nonsense, because the rooms are cleansed by the room maids every day,and the chances that some of them will find the weapons are too high. After that - all is simple. Look how easy! And there is absolutely no need for some "tremendous support" from some "powerful Government agency". "Israel would do anything, even kil thier own people, if they want to defame Muslim and Islam". Israel would not put in danger the life of the last shabby mongrel, let alone its people, for such a stupidity as " defaming Islam".Besides, you Muslims are doing the work of defaming Islam so well that no additional efforts are needed. In all this story, there is only one thing that makes me hesitant in putting the blame on the Pakisani ISI. Any operation of the Intelligence pursues some very concrete goal. What was it?To kill 200 Indians and 20 Westerners?Nonsense. The people who work in the Intelligence are mostly very pragmatic, and they would not start such an operation just for the sake of killing some 200 Indians and 20 Europeans and Israelis. It´s also evident(and the people in the ISI understand it much better than you or me) that some of the attackers will be taken alive(as it happened),and believe me,they will tell at the interrogations all they know; let´s leave the "heroic" stories about how the heroes clenched their teeth under torture and did not say a word for Hollywood. In the real life,if the interrogatory officers are free to use any methods, a man they interrogate would start "to sing" in maximum 2 minutes. In this case, the role of ISI immediately becomes evident, and no Secret Service wants to be exposed (that is why it´s called "Secret "Service) , and even less it wants to figure as teh mastermind of such a bloody and senseless operation. SO,the Pakistani Intelligence was ready to be caught by the hand as the mastermind of the attack on peaceful citizens of the neighbouing country and on the Westerners, was ready to put Pakistan on the verge of a new war with India(and the chances of Pakistan in this war look today very weak) and to make their entire country the outlaw - for what? For killing 200 Indians and 20 Westerners? Something does not fit in. Of course, the attackers were Muslims. Most probably, they were Pakistanis.

Dear Dusty I think your prediction could be right.I got a mail this morning and I request the Moderators to allow me to paste the full article to allow others posters to read it too.
Mumbai Terror attacks 26, 27 / 11 - masterminded by the Sangh Pariwar
The dastardly Mumbai terror attack of November 26 & 27, has claimed the lives of over a 125 people and injured scores more. This terror attack in our analysis has been planned & orchestrated by the Sangh Pariwar and its allies within the security apparatus to counter the investigation of the ATS led by Hemant Karkare, so as to nullify and deflect attention from the expose' of the BJP-RSS Parivar's involvement in formenting terror attacks in the country.
The basic aim was to totally subvert every attempt by the ATS (Anti-Terror Sqad) that was undoubtedly uncovering the nefarious terrorist cells within the various branches of the Sangh Pariwar as well as their RSS abettors & sympathizers within the army, IB, RAW and the entire security apparatus. The Mumbai terror attacks will thus draw away attention, as well as serve to justify the terrorist activities of the Sadhvi Pragnya's and the Purohit's and futher lend to their glorification.
It will basically shore up the sagging credibilty of the BJP-RSS, especially that of L. K. Advani, who had taken a public posture of both defending the alleged terror cells and attacking the ATS. This was utterly myopic on the part of a leader who is unfortunately considered to be the next PM. Also L. K. Advani who has vehemently and publicly attacked Hemant Karkare, is now cynically praising the man after he was murdered. Moreover we also question as to why PM Manmohan Singh chose to accompany L.K. Advani to Mumbai and have only him by his side to the exclusion of every other national & regional leader ??
Also similar to the Jaipur terror attacks (March 13, 2008) which undoubtedly aided the BJP to win a majority in Karnataka, the Mumbai terror attacks could also prove useful to the fortunes of the BJP in the upcoming elections across 5 states.
One of the most disheartening events was the deaths or rather the murders of the courageous ATS Chief Hemant Karkare as well his associates, Ashok Kamte & Salaskar, who were spearheading the investigation. Hemant Karkare was not shot in the chest as was reported, but was shot in the neck. Even prior to this terror attack, Hemant Karkare was recieving a series of threats to his life for persisting with the investigation which was and has infact unravelled a terror network with deep roots in the various organization of the RSS and included the BJP, ABVP, VHP and the Abhinav Bharat amongst others. The cousin sister of Hemant Karkare as well the mother of Salaskar have appeared on TV and have expressed strong doubts about the deaths of their loved ones and have strongly hinted at other possibilities. It was also reported that when the death of Karkare was announced, the RSS members rejoiced and celebrated.
We thus demand a judicial inquiry to look into the deaths of the three courageous ATS officers whose deaths are a blow to the morale of the entire police force. The feeling that Karkare and his comrades were the prime victims of this plot is now widespread amongst the people and is matter of serious popular discussion and a number of TV channels are discussing this possibilty.
The death of Karkare and his comrades has sent out a strong signal to all those who would dare to challenge this diabolical Hindutva nexus within our security apparatus. This again is not unique to India as we are witness to the phenomenon of the religious right and its influence within the military establishment in countries as diverse as Pakistan (Islamist Right), USA (Christian Right) and Israel (Jewish Zionists). There is thus a need to weed out all such individuals and groups from within our security apparatus. The Zia's, Sharon's and Bush's have all proved far too detrimental for their respective nations and the world at large.
The first media reports began to inform us of a previously unheard of group called the "Deccan Mujahedeen". Let it be made clear that neither the Deccan or the "Indian Mujahedeen" exist. The Indian Mujahedeen is a creation & the front organization of the Indian security apparatus. The role of the "IM" is to seek to entrap Muslim youth. Organizations like the IM are created with the backing of criminal elements from within the Muslim community as well as informers. The IM is known to be linked to the Fazlulrehman gang as well as the Bhatkal brothers with similar criminal antecedents. We believe that it is fairly easy to entrap 15 odd Muslim youth annually out of a population of 15 crores, by showing them CD's of Gujarat and Ayodhya and by emotionally drawing them to "avenge" the oppression and exploitation of a beleaugured minority. Intelligence agents in the garb of Muslim clergy have been known to indulge in this activity, whilst informers like Safdar Nagori have also helped in this process.
As far as the terrorists who attacked Mumbai are concerned, they are in all likelihood highly indoctrinated and extremely well trained terrorists, determined to die for their "cause" & are basically controlled by the American CIA, the Pakistani ISI and the Israeli MOSSAD. There is a long and recorded history of the CIA and the MOSSAD along with the intelligence agencies of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, deploying these groups in Afghanistan, Chechenya, Bosnia and Kosovo amongst others.
The stunning report that stated that Indresh Kumar a senior RSS operative in Nepal recieved Rs 3 CR was known to Togadia, Purohit and Vaidya the ex-RSS chief. This till date has not been denied by the RSS. This hints of a collusion between the ISI and the RSS at certain mutually beneficial levels and should come as no surprise and needs further investigation.
It was clear to the BJP-RSS that the threat that lay from the ATS investigation could destroy them as it went to the core of the leadership and names such as Advani, Modi, Togadia, Rajnath Singh and Vaidya began to appear.
Thus they would have to organize a major spectacular terrorist attack to thwart the investigation.
In our estimation, the MOSSAD and the CIA have aided and abeted the BJP-RSS in the planning and execution of this terror attack. What was required in this extended sordid drama was the need for a genuine terrorist group of Pakistani origin, which was provided for by the ISI with a bit of prodding from its masters in the CIA and the MOSSAD if required. The ISI is a mercenary organization with no scruples and is out there for the highest bidder. Moreover there exists various factions within the ISI, some which are baically controlled and paid for by the CIA and the MOSSAD.
The terrorist group would have no clue to the larger plot and would only be a pawn in the entire episode in which it would be given to believe that it was serving the cause of Islam by waging Jehad against Hindu India.
The terrorists were also given targets which included nationals of the US, UK and Israel as an added incentive. In one such announcement the terrorist spokesperson announced that they were here in Mumbai as part of their battle against the Jewish people and the faith of Judaism. Thus the Nariman House building in Colaba, that unkown to most is inhabited by Israeli-Jewish families was also attacked and hostages taken. This incident will only serve to cement ties between the Zionist elites of Israel and the Brahmanical elites of India.
The fact of the matter is that there exists a strong ideological bonding between Zionism & Brahmanism. Both are committed to racial, religious & caste superiority. Both also have a history of collaboration with Imperialism and the exploitation of their people.
Let it be clear to one and all, that Muslims have never had any sort of antipathy or hatred for the Jewish people or for Judaism for that matter and history is proof of this fact. What Muslims like all other peoples and nations are oppossed to is Zionism and its colonial aparthied state called Israel. The fact of the matter is that at the heart of International politics lies the Palestine / Israel conflict and only a just solution will finally bring peace to the world. Till then Israel will continue to destabilise Muslim societies across the world so as to spread Islamophobia and further weaken and isolate the Muslim community as is very apparent in India.
The key is to understand the difference between Judaism and Zionism. Judaism represents the ethical and moral vlaues of the Jewish faith whilst Zionism is a rascist, fascist and colonial ideology.
Both India and the world stand at the crossroads.
The scourge of terrorism has become the political and social challenge of our times and needs to be fought as it is we the ordinary people who are the victims of terror.
The politics of terror has replaced the politics of communal riots and is the new strategy of communal fascism.
The only way that we can fight the demon of terrorism is by revealing the truth and thus uniting the people across religions and nations for our common struggle against imperialism and for a global human society based on the principles of secularsim, democracy and social justice.

" On one side, the author states the truth of the ones who promote secularism, then he advocates it. Allah protect him if he was saying it out of fear of being targeted by the secularists against whom he was talking.

One thing you should realize about religion is: The creator doesn't benefit or lose anything by us following or not following the guidance given to us by him. It is we who benefit or lose. Allah created us, he can create others to replace us. This discussion distracts from the matter of the post. Muslims have been scapegoated or used in these attacks, by the agencies charged with the protection of the attacked.

Acually there are a lot of things I don't agree with this author, for instance the ISI involvement in this attack.I think the Indian government is just scapegoating Pakistan.
This is the third day of the attack but the Indian commandos have still not been successful in clearing the sieged areas. Why are they taking so much of time to take action? They can't control a bunch of madmen, there are still many people trapped inside the hotels and many are missing. The roads are deserted and most of the schools and colleges remain close too.
The senseless lost of life and the shocking pictures.

Sure, maybe its time to look at the fruits of an ill-conceived occupation of the Palestinian territories, the fruits of an ill-conceived hand-over of a muslim majority state (Kashmir) to a country that its people never wanted to be part of, the fruits of an ill-conceived and illegal occupation of Iraq and the ill-conceived war in Afghanistan that is fueling more turmoil in that whole region.
And the most recent flavor of the fruits of Greed and Deception in the financial systems that the whole world is now tasting.

salaam, most probably i think its the game of plan of BJP bcoz the ATS TEAM LEAD BY THE TOP POLICE OFFICER WERE THE PRIMARY TARGET AFTER THAT THE REST IS ALL GAME. WE DONT EVEN KNOW HOW MANY OR THEIR FACES OTHER THAN THOSE IN CAMERAS. WIHTOUT THE LOCAL OR OFFICIAL HAND THIS ATTACT IS IMPOSSIB;E AND NONE OF THE GUEST WERE COMMENTING ON IT EXCEPT THE FIRST EYEWITNESS. THE UPA GOVT. HAD DID WELL THRU-OUT THE YEARS INCLUDING OVERCOMING THE WORST ECONOMIC CRISIS , AND BJP IS SURE OF THEIR DEFEAT AND IF THEY DONT STOP "ATS" THEN THE WHOLE GAME PLAN OF HINDUTVA MOVEMENT IS GONNA OPEN - UP.

All humans, Islam may be religion you love and wants to follow, but you must know terrorist groups are still recruiting peoples from Pakistan and other islamic nations. They are even recruiting educated peoples by showing CD telling what happening with islam around the world and motivating them for such things. Its a well known fact and It is shown on tv, can be found on internet too. I have no right to blame any religion but, it is a matter of islam belivers too and its time to accept this and start educating youth on not doing such things, this is the right method to save your religion, in place of blaming US, India.. democratic countries. Things may look the way you want to see it but fact is fact. ** small story.. a person was drowing, a true beliver of god. He saw boat coming to save him, he said 'no god will save me' this happens 2 more times, when he died then he question 'why a true beliver like me died' , god replied ' i send you 3 boats but you said no'. ** Open your eyes and stop blaming govt. its peoples like us in govt. , but terrorist are those who get wrong teaching no matter what their religion is.

Shame on you indian govt. To hide there weaknesses they are blaming Pakistan for the attacks. They should work with Pakistan to End these stupid people in both countries. I also want to put some light that whenever indian govt blame Pakistan for the such things they are always came out wrong and at this time 7 to 13 states of india are fighting for independence. hindus are killing muslims and christians. So i think first india should try to solve its own inside problems before start blaming Pakistan

The Indian government should take responsibility for a lot of things but not these attacks. The fanatics who have committed these are foreigners who aim to provoke India into aggressive action in the border areas. They claim to be fighting for two things 1. Kashmir 2. Indian Muslims. Both are not true. Lashkar e toiba and such groups are not made up of Kashmiris and do not represent the Kasmiri cause. Kashmiris dont wish to become part of Pakistan, sure they have disagreements with the Indian govt but these groups dont speak for them. Indian Muslims are part of the Indian nation and on the whole have no sympathy for these external psycopaths. In some cases they have been discriminated against (especially Gujurat) but in the majority of areas Muslims in India are no different to the rest of the population. ******** like this only serve to harm the cause of both Kasmiris and Indian Muslims in general. Instead it will only stir up resentment and suspicion.

Ongoing investigations into some (past) terrorist attacks that were alternately blamed on Indian Muslims and Pakistan have shown that they were actually carried out by a Hindu terrorist network,"

Why not one can suspect shivsena or BJP The usual blame is only a scape goat. What happened in near RSS headquarter- bombing, the same but found out to be handiwork of RSS themselves. RSS/BJP/Shiv sena is losing their identity eversince Congress came to power, cooperation with Pakistan increased and are desperately looking to review their fortunes. Last week show of rowdism by shivsena in Mumbai was the prelude to the bombings, which causes antiminority sentiments, thereby achieving their goals. Recent reports of link of Advani and Sushma with underworld gangs to be strongly scrutinized in view of Mumbai bombings. May God give solace to departed souls and enlighten the Government Machinery to think positive and do an unbiased investigation to find the real culprits and expose to the world the real faces behind this dastardly act.

Mumbai attack is as grave as Gandhiji’s killing and Babri Masjid demolition Renowned journalist and human rights activist Mr. Amrish Mishra expressed his strong reaction over the terrorist attack and said that this conspiracy was hatched by Israel’s Mussed and notorious communal party RSS. This attack is as grave as the killing of Mahatma Gandhi and demolition of Babri Masjid. The same communal forces are involved in this conspiracy also. Talking to Siasat late last night from Mumbai, Mr. Mishra claimed that the killing of brave ATS officers who were in the concluding stage of the investigations of Malegaon blast which could have shown the real face of the saffron parties and the beginning of the firing from Nariman House where substantial number of Jews are living, clearly shows that this was an anti-national act of terror with Israel’s Missal’s hand in grave because this kind of attack is just not possible by RSS alone. Whatever has happened the entire last night in Mumbai could be concluded that it was the joint ‘effort’ of Mussed with RSS. The irony of it is that those ATS officers, who were assigned the duties of Malegaon blasts, were on the verge of making their report final and all three of them were eliminated. They are Mr. Hemant Karkare, DIG Ashok Kale and encounter specialist Vijay Salazar. Their killing has proved that it was the handy work of the anti-national forces. This is also equivalent to the killing of the officer Mr. Sharma who was shot dead at Batla House encounter. Mr. Amrish Mishra added that Nariman house has many Jews tenants and the beginning of the firing from there create many doubts. He said that he was watching the TV and clearly saw that Mr. Hemant Karkare was wearing the helmet to get ready for the confrontation and imagine my astonishment that after half an hour, I got the news that Mr. Hemant Karkare was killed. Circumstances would take what turn, no one can say at present. He also said that after the attack, some miscreants had come on the road with saffron flags and chanting anti-Muslim slogans but people drove them out. Those who are very much in touch with the situation don’t seem to believe that these attacks are the handy work of any Muslim terrorist organization because people can no longer be taken for a ride. They know who are behind these attacks. He opined that Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil should immediately tender his resignation. He had links with RSS in the past. On taking responsibility by Deccan Mujahedeen, Mr. Mishra said neither Home Minister nor chief minister had confirmed this. Only some Hindi channels had given the news of Deccan Mujahedeen. Many Gujaratis had expressed their fear while talking to TV channels that at Nariman House, the number of Jews tenants is increasing day by day which is a threat because their (Jews) activities are suspicious. In this regard, a police complaint was also lodged with the police. They are of the opinion that if police had taken action against, this situation as of now, would not have arisen at all.

Sang Parivar doublespeak: Villain in life, hero in death MUMBAI: The heroic death of Maharashtra’s Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare in counter-terror operations has left the BJP-Shiv Sena combine with egg on its face. On Friday, Narendra Modi, BJP’s poster-boy chief minister and Hindutva mascot, paid lofty tributes to Karkare and other senior cops who lost their lives in the counter attack. But before his death on duty, Mr Karkare and his colleagues at the ATS were at the receiving end of almost a slanderous attack not only by BJP and Shiv Sena leaders, but also by several Sangh Parivar organisations for the ongoing ATS probe into the Malegaon blasts. In fact, Mr Modi himself had attacked the ATS for the “biased” probe into the Malegaon blasts. So much so that the BJP and Sangh Parivar organisations had personally blamed Karkare for what they claimed “implicating the Hindu religious leaders and outfits” in the probe. But the two parties are now singing eulogies to the valour demonstrated by the departed ATS chief. Ironically, the Shiv Sena had even called a Maharashtra bandh on December 1 to protest against the ATS probe and express solidarity with the accused — Sadhvi Pragya Singh and lieutenant colonel Shrikant Purohit — for their involvement in the Malegaon blasts. “It is supreme irony that the same BJP is now paying tributes to Karkare and is talking of helping his family,” union minister of state for home Shriprakash Jaiswal said on Friday. But the double-speak demonstrated by the BJP and Shiv Sena could be more dangerous for the combine than a mere political embarrassment. Mr Jaiswal said the agencies probing the terror attack in Mumbai would also look into the fact that Mr Karkare was on “target by some people who had opposed his probe for about 15 days before November 26.” No doubt there are some well organized hindu terrorists in India. May be they are behind these act. Let wait and see.

You should blame Zionism for not only this any like this in the world. to create tension between two country.Between India and Pakistan. You have to know world history in order to understand this. The old British blood sucker policy was like this "If you want to control a country you have to have leverage on the neighbor country either political, economical, or military. Indian and Pakistan are suffering for centuries of such activity. When ever Zionism want to slap the face of Pakistan which it is not obey the tugs of world they pay bunches of terrorist to kill with different label to change world opinion against a group or a country. Since Pakistan is fully cooperating with USA, then it comes the carrot and stick policy. Another dirty Zionism policy is to use religion as tool for their own advantage. Like the event in China 6 months ago with religious Leader Dally Lama with uprising. Ask your self why is it quite now? Here are the reason behind the curtain. when China did not approve UN security sanction against Iran Peacefully nuclear energy the Zionism body wanted to slap the face of Chinese and made the call to Dally Lama to call an uprising in china with regard the Olympic event approaching. Another case is the Georgian war with Russia why? The Israeli made a secrete deal with Gorgian leader to use their militay base airport for attack on Iranian sites but the secrate was disclosed when two cities(Abkhzia ...) near the Russian border found out about the deal and asked the gorgian leader not to do that and the leader of goria did not accepted it which they called their separtion of the country since they do not want to get involve in the war with Iran. Another case Lebnon 2006 war prepartion by Isreal to distroy Hizbolla. How? First they have to get Syrian out of Lebnon in 2004-2005 by a plot asscination of Harrie then cusing riote by starting sheling the beaches of Pliastain. then the war in summer of 2006 that cause the defeat of Isreal Army. there are more and more of such event in the past, now and the future.

How astounding to read all these ‘experts’ expounding reasons and pointing fingers.
The ultimate result of course is that India’s tourism will suffer immensely. Hotels like the Taj will now only survive if they install scanners for every piece of luggage that passes reception and that includes chemical and explosive sniffers. These wealthy establishments can well afford to operate in similar fashion to airport check-ins. It’s estimated that some weapons must have been pre-stashed by some already checked-in ‘guests’ on top of the weapons and ammunition that were brought in by these ’10 attackers’ --- and obviously there must have been more than just the 10 young men who allegedly infiltrated by boat to cause such mayhem.
This will not prevent attacks on restaurants and public places of course but such attacks can be swiftly neutralized by security forces, whilst the take-over of large rambling hotels by terrorists would be made far more difficult if security scanners are installed and all luggages is thoroughly examined.
Unfortunately in the times we live in EVERY means must be taken to lessen this type of thing reoccurring, as there are so many disaffected groups choosing terrorism as their answer to whatever grievance they might hold.
Here we have Hindus blaming Muslims and pointing at Pakistan, Muslims blaming Jews and inferring that it was Hindus killing other Hindus in order to demonize Muslims etc.
Maybe it would be a good idea to first await interrogation of the lone perpetrator who has been captured alive before jumping to conclusions?

The lone perpetrator caught is a Pakistani national from Faridkot. He has already told police that the militants came from Pakistan around one month before. It is likely that they were trained by ISI. This is already known.

If this information is confirmed, that may mean a new war between India and Pakistan,if only the Pakistani´s government will not prove beyond any doubt that it knew nothing about the plan of the ISI,and will not punish those who organized and planned this operation. One thing is not clear, though. It´s evident that at least one or two out of 60 who took part in the attack will be taken alive. It´s also evident that at the interrogations they will tell all they know, because the interrogators will have their hands free and will not be shy to use any methods on them to make them tell the truth. The men working in the ISI are not fools, they understand this much better than you or me.How could they send the attackers on this mission, knowing in advance that it can provoke a new war between India and Pakistan?Or it was their goal?

The problem is that the Pakistan govt has no control over the ISI. It is proven that elements within the ISI openly support the Taliban and AL Qaeda.

Theoretically the govt is supposed to have charge over the ISI. But this is not the case, elements within the ISI are extremists but the govt cant control them. The assasination of Benazhir Bhutto was authorised by people within the ISI.

As far as I could judge by the media,in Pakistan under Musharraf a bird could not fly without his permission. And you say that he did not control ISI,and that the assasination of Benazhir Bhutto was authorised by people within the ISI.It means that the Gen.Musharraf did not know about any plan of Bhutto´s assesination, and it´s only the bad guys from ISI who killed her? So,ISI is bad-and the Gvernment is good? Not that I put in doubtwhat yo say, you, evidently, know the situation in Pakistan better than .But I simply can not understand how the Intelligence Service in the totalitatian state(and Pakistan is whatever except being " a democracy") is out of control of the government of this totalitarian state

The ISI isnt completly bad. What I mean is that within it there is bad. But it is impossible to root out the "bad guys" from within the organisation. Likewise the govt isnt good. But they are not related to extremism. However, the latest President has spent time in jail on corruption charges, so they also are difficult to trust.

Please, explain, what do you mean by "it´s impossible to root out the bad guys from withing the organization" We are not talking about the boyscout group. We are talking about the Intelligence Service of Pakistan, which is considered to be pretty good.Any Intelligence Service has special methods "to root out the bad guys",and believe me,these methods are very effective. Any member of the Intelligece Service is under constant and strict control of the Interum Service, any member of the Intelligence Service is "checked" periodically, which includes ,among other things, taping of all his phones,as well as the phones of his relatives, scrutinizing his bank accounts, controlling his movements during certain period of time, controlling his contacts, and many other unpleasant things. If it just occurs to someone to start to play tricks with the Intelligence Service he is workin for,it´s not IF he will be caught-it´s only the question of "WHEN" he will be caught. And you say that the ISI can not "root out the bad guys within the organization". Why?

This is because some of the "bad guys" are in very senior positions and have a lot of support. Removing them could even spark a civil war.
As we know govts change with elections but Intelligence organisation doesnt and bcos of that build up power.

Now I understand. Musharaf had to purge the Intelligence like Stalin purged the GRU in the Soviet Union, not letting them grow too strong and sending the too influential figures of the Soviet Military Intelligence to Heavens every 4-5-years.
