Will I be able to Fast for Ramadan?

Salam Alaikum my brothers and sisters in faith, I am a revert to Islam and only 15 years old. I am terrified of telling my parents I have reverted for i do not know how they will react. The biggest problem is this ramadan, i dont know how i will fast. My family eats pretty early. I was thinking I could try to get them to eat a bit later- after sundown, i would wake up for fajr and eat, then not really eat in school. That would be my ideal way of handeling it but i'm unsure if it's possible for me considering my reletives also eat early and there are times i must go out to eat with them.
Please offer suggestions such as, should i tell my family? Or should I just not fast? Also, about praying, during Ramadan do most people pray more rakaats? or more Salaat? Like throughout the night? Thank you! I look forward to reading your responces.
Your brother, Musa

Dear Brother Mussa, Salamualikom. Ur so young, mashaalah, may Allah bless ur heart. Of course it is better if ur parents knew about ur coversion. But first, please tell us more information about them. What is their faith? What do they think of Islam? Have they always supported u in making ur own decisions? How do you think they will react? Is there someone in ur family or a close family friend who is a Muslim and could help you? U know them better than we do, if u think their reaction will be bad, perhaps it is wiser if u wait a bit before telling them. Maybe prepare them for it gradually, what do u think? As for Ramadan, we still have one month to go inshaalah, before it. We still have time, don't worry. Inshaalah we will think of something. Salam Ur sister.

You're 15 years old and becoming a man. Tell your parents your religion. They have to respect your decision. If you think they will be upset. Tell them anyway. They need to understand that you are growing up and can chart your own course through life. If they know little about Islam and are worried you're gonna run off and become a terrorist, then you have some work to do in educating them. Good luck. ps. don't run off and become a terrorist. B B

Asalaamu alaikum Musa, May Allah make it easier for you. Welcome. As you will see Insha'Allah, Islam is a beautiful way of life but, it isn't an easy one. Allah tests us with everything but, He will never give more than we can bear. Keep your intentions pure in everything you choose and Allah will guide you. Patients and prayer are the keys to every answer. Allah will reveal the answers to you in His time only. In have said this, your test is going to be on your faith, patients and loyalties to Allah. Even though it is better for you to show your faith outwardly, just remember to wait on the right moment in which Allah gives to you. You will know when it's right. May Allah guide your parents to Islam or at least soften their hearts and open their minds. Ameen. You are in my prayers. Your brother, Abdulraouf
