Biography of Counselor

Dr. Salwa Rashad

• Born and grew Muslim in Cairo Egypt

• Bachler of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, 1970

• Master in Aeronautical Engineering, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, 1978

• Moved to the states to start graduate school in 1982

• PhD in Engineering with course work in Psychology from UW Madison, 1989

• Master in Computer Science 1998

• Teaching Math and Computer science courses at, Madison Area Technical College (MATC), and Cardinal Stritch University at Madison, Wisconsin, USA

• Freelance writing for Aljumah magazine (an Islamic magazine at USA)

• Presenting Islamic views at schools, colleges and churches to educate American about the authentic teachings of Islam

• Working as a peace activist at Beyond Terrorism group and Madison Area Peace Collation (MAPC) at Madison, Wisconsin, USA

• Providing volunteer counseling service for Muslims.

• A mother for three girls and a grandmother for two grandsons and a granddaughter
