Medical Services for Conference Guests: Bukhari

TRIPOLI, November 26 (Mercy for Mankind) – As the seventh general conference of the World Islamic Call Society (WICS) was to open here Friday, November 26, the medical official of the WICS Clinic told Mercy for Mankind Web Site that the some 500 participants would receive around the clock medical care.

Dr. Abdul Rahman El-Bukhari further added that the full staff of the clinic would be on duty all through the period of the conference, November 26-29.

"In addition, we also use the most advanced medical equipments and preparations to be ready in case there is a need, God forbid."

Bukhari said there are 12 doctors in the various specializations, adding night shifts would be on full swing during the conference.

Consultant physician, Abdul Hamid Rieh, spoke to Mercy for Mankind Web Site on the history of the WICS Clinic saying it started working in 1990.

"We started work with only two physicians. Praise be to Allah, it has now extended to include various medical services and specializations. The clinic also provides the poor and needy with medicines from its own pharmacy.

"The clinic also plays a central role in the medical convoys sent out by the WICS to various world countries in need of such convoys."
