TRIPOLI, November 27 (Mercy for Mankind) - The seventh
general conference of the World Islamic Call Society (WICS)
continued its sessions here Saturday, November 27, with a morning
session to discuss the report of the Executive Committee of the
World Council for Islamic Call (WCIC) on the society's activities
during the last four years.
Dr. Mohamed El-Sharief started the session, welcomed the guests,
then introduced Syrian Mufti, Dr. Ziad El-Ayoubi, the president of
the morning session.
Word was then given to Sheikh Shukr Allah Pasha Zadah, Azerbaijan
Mufti.
Rapporteur general of the conference, Ibrahim Al-Ghowail, then
started the discussions of the Executive Committee of the WCIC, the
major topic of the first morning session.
Al-Ghowail first spoke in some detail on the general achievements of
the WICS, according to the report, a copy of which was given to all
members of the general conference, in the various fields.
The report sighted positive achievements and activities by the WICS
on the various fields during the past four years, the period covered
by the report.
Al-Ghowail, citing the report, mentioned investments by the WICS in
the Jamahiriya, especially the Zat El-Imad Compound, one of its five
buildings is hosting the conference in a marvelous Conference Hall,
set up especially for this conference, as one of the big
achievements during the last period.
Secretary of the International Organizations and Conferences Office
in the World Council of Islamic Call (WCIC), Ibrahim Al-Rabo then
took the word and spoke about the educational and cultural
achievements during the last four years covered by the report.
The four year report covers and monitors the activities of the WICS
in the call, relief, humanitarian and cultural levels. It also
records the levels of cooperation with other international
organizations and forums.
It also mentions new projects established, sponsored or supported by
the WICS on the time span of the four years interval between the
sixth general conference – held in Jakarta – and this one |
