Saladin - Conquests Against the Crusaders

Saladin Al-Ayyoubi was able to conquer the Crusaders in the battle of Hytteen in 583 A.H, (1187, A.C) restoring Jerusalem and so many other countries occupied by the Crusaders back to Muslims.

In 584 A.H. through the month of Ramadan and in spite of the bad weather, he achieved great victories as he conquered Natartous, Gebla, Al-Lazikiyah, Sayhun, Bakas, and Al-Thaghir, Ba`labak, Humah, Karak, As-Sour and so many other lands.

He spent his life striving for the sake of Allah. Even in Ramadan, he rejected his men’s suggestion to have recess in the month of Ramadan saying: “Man’s life span is short, death gives no appointment and leaving the occupiers in the Muslims’ lands for a more single day, despite the ability of driving them out is an abominable act that I could not bear” and he proceeded his conquests through this blessed month.
