The
cool breeze sweeps across the land,
Gently whipping at the faces of every child, woman, and man.
The sun has declined over the trees,
The crescent has formed with the slightest of ease.
The
masses rejoice with a newfound light,
For the month of fasting brings renewal on this night.
For each and every soul,
This month brings a lofty goal.
It
is neither of frivolity nor circumstance,
Nor does it open a door for any arrogant stance.
This month is the place where the sincere are at play,
Striving for forgiveness each and every day.
Praying
each and every night,
The faith of the believers is such an awesome sight!
So I urge you, oh Abdullah, shoot for the stars…
For even if you don’t make it, you will get quite far.
