Who wants to be a Millionaire?

What
do you think that you would do if a person whom you knew to be
honest and trustworthy told you that they found a treasure full of
endless amounts of jewels, countless amounts of monetary wealth,
gold and silver? It may be hard, but because you know them to be
honest, you believe the story.
Imagine that the whole community knows your friend and has been
informed not only that they found this treasure, but that he was
also bringing this treasure to the mosque to be divided amongst its
members. People would be literally stepping over each other to get
what they can of this treasure before others took all of it.
Considering that most people work a whole lifetime full of sweat,
agony and frustration, and still do not make what might amount to
‘millions’. For that reason, most people would jump at the
opportunity and becoming an instant millionaire.
Now imagine that As-Sadiq Al-Ameen (SAAWS) was telling us this.
Both the believers and disbelievers knew the Prophet (SAAWS) as the
trustworthy and the honest. That was his station. So, would you
take it seriously if he were the one that told us about a treasure
that, “No eyes have seen, no ear has heard about, nor has anyone
ever even imagined…?”
Can you guess how the hadith ends? He (SAAWS) said, “No eyes have
seen, no ear has heard about, nor has anyone ever even imagined the
treasures in Jannah.”
Coming from the Prophet, do we even need to hear the rest?
Shouldn’t we be attentive, ready to strive for that blessing,
that treasure?
The Prophet (SAAWS) in a hadith related by Abu Musa Al-Ash’aree,
“Shall I tell you of one of the treasures of Jannah?” Abu Musa
Replied, “Of course, oh Prophet of Allah!” The Prophet
continued, saying, “Whoever says, ‘La howla wa la quwatta illa
Billah (There is no power nor might except by Allah)’ will have a
treasure waiting for them in Jannah.”
Allah makes it so easy for us, yet we do not give Allah His due
estimation. Allah says in Surat an-Naml in verse 73, “Lo! Thy
Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give
thanks.” May Allah bless us to be amongst those that give Him
thanks for the bounties that He has bestowed upon us.
Remember, the Prophet (SAAWS) said, “No eyes have seen, no ear
has heard about, nor has anyone ever even imagined the treasures in
Jannah.” For that reason, we should glorify and praise our
Creator. As Allah has mentioned in Surat al Haqqah, “So glorify
the name of thy Tremendous Lord.”
