Israel, U.S. Are Enemies of Muslims: Farooq Abdullah

DELHI, December 10 (IslamOnline) – Former chief minister of Kashmir
and National Conference patron said terming the U.S. and Israel as the
biggest enemies of Muslims all over the world.
“The
U.S. is trying to enslave the whole of the Muslim world and trying to
control the oil reserves of Gulf countries,” he said, speaking at
Pampore.
Supporting
the people of Palestine for their freedom struggle, Abdullah said
America wants to impose its imperialistic policies on Islamic nations,
the Kashmir Times reported Monday, December 9.
Lashing
out at America and Israel, Abdullah said the U.S. wanted to take control
of oil resources of gulf countries and was looking for pretexts to
attack Iraq.
He
added America wanted to attack both Iran and Iraq in order to get rid of
countries that offer resistance to its hegemony.
Abdullah
hoped that despite the imperialist attitude of America and Israel, the
Palestinian people would achieve their goal. He prayed for the success
of their struggle.
On
another note, the former chief minister also announced that an Islamic
university would be set-up in Ganderbal soon.
He
said not only Islamic scholars of the country but from other parts of
the world would be called to deliver lectures to the students in the
university.
Abdullah’s
party was trounced in last October’s elections after ruling Kashmir
for most of the period since it fell under Indian control in 1948.
