STOCKHOLM,
December 9 (IslamOnline) - The third conference discussing the right
of return of the Palestinian refugees to their occupied homeland will
be held in the Danish capital of Copenhagen from 12 to 15 December
2002.
It
will discuss the issue of the return of Palestinian refugees to their
home according to the United Nations resolution number 194.
“The
conference comes at a time Palestine is going through hard sensitive
phase with the Israeli Prime Minister crossing all red lines in his
aggression against Palestinians, A’ed Ahmed, head of the union of
Palestinian organizations in Sweden, told Islamonline on Monday,
December 9.
The
situation in the Palestinian occupied territories will worsen if the
U.S. attack on Iraq takes place, he said.
“therefore,
it is a must to move and do something, especially on the European
front, to help the unjustly treated Palestinian population, he added.
The
conference is organized by the alliance of the right to return in
Europe, which includes all Palestinian committees and organizations
concerned with the right to return issue, the Danish-Palestinian
friendship organization and the alternative information center in
Bethlehem.
Similar
conferences took place in Cyprus in 2000 and in Belgium in 2002.
Different
Palestinian, Arab and European personalities are scheduled to
participate in the conference, in addition to the committee defending
the Palestinian evacuees inside the green light, youth centers in Gaza
and West Bank refugees camps and the organizations defending the right
of return in Jordan, Syria, United states Canada, England, Swede,
Denmark, Holland and Norway.
