JALALABAD,
August 25 (IslamOnline) – IslamOnline’s correspondent in Pakistan
has received a copy of a message from an Afghan source who said that
it was written by Osama bin Laden, at a time when there are efforts
underway to unite the Al-Qaeda organization, the Taliban, and the
Afghan leader Gulbudin Hekmatyar.
The
Afghan source, who asked for anonymity, told IslamOnline Saturday,
August 24, that the leader of Al-Qaeda network wrote this message a
few weeks ago as a sign that he is still alive, although the letter
was undated.
The
source pointed out that a comparison between this letter and those
found by the CIA and FBI showed great similarity.
The
letter began with “I send this message to you…. I am your brother
in religion and belief, Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden.”
The
message, written by hand, called on the Afghani people to engage in
jihad, or holy struggle, and resist the American forces in Afghanistan.
“I
can tell from my place that these great venerations drawn around the
super powers do not equal a mosquito wing … it is not worth anything
in comparison with the power of God the Almighty with His support to
His faithful mujahideen (fighters),” Bin Laden said in his message.
He
added that the doubtful could ask the Russians how the “Holy
Jihad” destroyed the former legend of the Soviet Union
.
“We
will closely witness, Allah willing, the fall of the United States of
America, which ignored all human values, passed over all limits, and
understands no logic but that one of power and Jihad,” he added.

Meanwhile,
IslamOnline’s correspondent learnt from Afghan sources that there
are great efforts underway to mediate among the Al-Qaeda organization,
the Taliban, and the Afghan leader Gulbudin Hekmatyar to reunite
resistance groups.
The
Afghan source confirmed that some of the mediators were able to bring
the views of both Taliban and Hekmatyar close to each other, pointing
out that there is no basic conflicts between Al-Qaeda and Hekmatyar.
He
finally added, “You will soon hear good news in this concern.”
