Hizbollah Kills Israeli Soldier in Clash
Lebanese Hizbollah resistance fighters struck Israeli army posts in an Israeli-occupied border area, Wednesday, June 29, 2005, killing an Israeli soldier and injuring five others. Witnesses said Israeli warplanes bombed the outskirts of two south Lebanese border villages. It was the most serious incident in the flashpoint Shebaa Farms area since Jan. 9, when a Hizbollah attack and Israeli retaliatory strikes killed an Israeli officer, a French military observer and a Hizbollah fighter.
