In
the month of Ramadan, 1393 A.H., the believing armies attained a
glorious victory over malicious Israeli forces and Allah’s Promise was
fulfilled, as Almighty Allah says: […
Verily Allah helpeth one who helpeth Him. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.]
(Al-Hajj 22:40). This victory was achieved after long years of
fighting against the Israeli enemy who used to win many rounds of the
main battle. That was because we did not care much about our relation
with Almighty Allah and we did not fulfill the real prerequisites for
victory, such as being well-prepared and having serious readiness to
confront the enemy. Yet, we eventually could change, just as Almighty
Allah states; […
Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first)
change that which is in their hearts…]
(Ar-Ra`d 13:11). Thus, when we changed and prepared ourselves well, both
religiously and materially, heart and soul, Allah granted us victory.
When one does one’s best, has confidence in Allah, has sincere
intention to render Allah’s religion victorious and seeks Allah’s
pleasure, the result will definitely be victory in both this world and
the Hereafter. Almighty Allah says: […
Lo! We suffer not the reward of one whose work is goodly to be lost.]
(Al-Kahf 18:30)
“Allah
is the Greatest!” That was the motto of the Egyptian armed forces
during Ramadan/October War. They used to call it out vigorously and
resonantly while attacking and undermining the enemy’s sites.
Moreover, Almighty Allah filled the hearts of the Israeli enemy with
fear and panic, who kept running for their lives. That motto, “Allah
is the Greatest,” used to give our men heart, hope, and confidence
that however great their enemy was, Allah was the Greatest. The October
war, which took place in Ramadan 1393 A.H, was a blessed war, as it took
place on blessed days in the blessed month of Ramadan. In this glorious
month righteous deeds are exalted, so how great if such righteous deeds
are represented in fighting in the Cause of Allah to defend rights,
honor, and sanctities and to render Allah’s religion victorious.
