BEIRUT, October 30 (IslamOnline.net) - Prominent Muslim preacher Amr Khaled has undergone a successful gallbladder surgery and will be able to resume his daily television program as of Monday, November 1.

"I want to assure every body about my condition," Khaled told IslamOnline.net over the phone from his hospital bed.

The young preacher, whose TV religious programs have attracted millions from over the world, thanked people form came in droves to visit him in his Beirut hospital, especially those who traveled from neighboring Syria.

The hospital was flooded by phone calls from the four corners of the globe with people asking about Khaled.

"In sha’ Allah (God willing), I will resume my daily program on Monday," he told IOL.

The young preacher presents daily episodes on IQRAA satellite channel during the holy month of Ramadan.

The World Health Organization (WHO) honored Khaled with a prestigious award in recognition of his anti-smoking televised campaign.

The Egyptian preacher, who left for London  in 2002 to study for his PHD, dedicated the award to his audience who gave heed to his calls and quit smoking as part of his "Say No To Five Narcotics" Campaign.

Khaled has received a four-year scholarship from the University of Wales to study the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
