Israelis Elect Anti-Arab Bloodthirsty Candidates: Israeli Expert

Sharon, ever since his childhood, used to look at Arabs through his rifle: Shlef

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, January 3 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) – Unlike in most world countries where elections are determined by the political and economic agenda of the candidates, in Israel no candidate stands a chance to win unless he is a proven anti-Arab bloodthirsty candidate, said an Israeli political analyst and opinion polls expert.

When they cast their votes to elect a new premier, Israelis are always taken by the "charm of the killer", Haim Shlef said as Israelis are to hit ballot stations on January 28  to elect a new prime minister to the Jewish state.

Analyzing the inability of Israeli Labor leader Amram Mitzna to beat incumbent Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in election polls, the Israeli expert said Mitzna only promised, upon an advice from his election campaign director, to crush the faces of Palestinians while Sharon had proven himself by killing Palestinians.

Mitzna speaks of a clear vision to reach peace with the Palestinians while the majority of Israelis, who might be willing to make painful confession for peace, only elect some one known for his hatred of Palestinians, noted the expert.

A person who is not ready to strike Arabs with an iron-fist does not stand a chance of becoming the prime minister of the Jewish state, he wrote in an article published by the Israeli Maariv newspaper on December 31 and carried by Al-Quds Press news agency Friday, January 3.

Following is a translated version of the article:

Amram Mitzna is shown through the media as a cautious, balanced and intelligent  person.

Unlike Sharon, he has an organized and arranged vision for solving the conflict with the Palestinians.

He was supposed, long ago, to fly in opinion polls and to pose a real threat to the Likud in light of the deteriorating situation suffered by the states.

There are, of course, many and varied reasons for the Labor's (different results) in polls.

It seems the public is not yet done with punishing the Labor Party for "Oslo crimes".

Or may by the public has not yet overcome the shocking and crisis government of Ehud Barak.

It seems that Mitzna's lack of  charisma that influences the masses is not only hindering his success to drag the people behind him but also failing to inject enthusiasm among the very few who back his tendency.

However, political charisma is not deemed a necessary precondition for winning elections and the proof is Yitzhak Shamir's long years in power although he lacked an outstanding charisma.

What distinguished Yitzhak Shamir, and every leader who won the elections over the past twenty years, is the blood in the eyes.

The Israeli public may be ready to make concessions to reach a settlement with the Palestinians, but they want a leader who can not stand them.

The accumulated experience so far proves that the person who lacks the ability and capability to strike Arabs real hard does not stand a chance to become a prime minister.

This happened with Yitzhak Rabbin in 1992. He would not have been elected if he had not given his orders to the army to crush the bones of the Palestinians.

This also happened with (Benjamin) Netanyahu in 1996. His hatred for Arabs and contempt for them secured him the necessary percentage to win the elections.

The same was repeated with Ehud Barak in 1999 after his image as a shrewd Arab liquidator won him a landslide victory.

This also happened in 2001 with Sharon who, ever since his childhood, used to look at Arabs through his rifle.

The lack of  "a tendency to kill" provides us with another appropriate explanation  for Shimon Peres's repeated loss of many election battles over the past two decades.

Sharon had proven himself by killing Palestinians: Shlef

The majority of the public know Peres's political and administrative privileges but this did not help him in any time with the ballot boxes even in 1996 when he dressed a military uniform and showered Lebanon with thousands of shells.

The image of someone searching for a solution, reconciliation and coexistence with Arabs affected his results in the book of history.

Rushing behind the "killer" is inscribed in our nature. This has not started with the Intifada or the terrorist wave.

Mitzna as it is evident lacks the minimum requirement of a winning candidate.

It is true that he had promised to crush the faces (of Palestinians) after an advice from his aide but Sharon has already proven himself, at least in this arena.

He (Sharon) come to elections with bills and receipts in contrast to Mitzna who comes with unsure promises.
