Palestinians search through the debris of a blown up house destroyed by Israeli troops in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza strip.

GAZA
CITY, December 6 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - Israeli occupation
troops killed ten Palestinians early Friday, December 6, during an
incursion into the Bureij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian
hospital source said.
The
Palestinians died when around 40 Israeli tanks entered the camp firing
shells and spraying bullets from machine guns, before withdrawing,
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
Electricity
was cut off in Bureij, said Israeli public radio.
Ahmad
Rabah, director of the hospital in nearby Deir el-Balah camp, said four
of the victims whom he named as members of the Mansour family were
killed when an Israeli tank shell hit their home.
Three
Palestinians were killed by a missile fired by an Israeli helicopter
gunship, witnesses said.
Rabah
said six of the victims, including members of the Mansour clan, had been
identified as Mohammed al-Awani, 26, and his brother Eymad, 28, Rayed
Ramadan, 35, and his brother Tareq, 28, Ossama Tahrawi, 31, and his
brother Imad.
Ahlam
al-Wawi, 30, sustained life-threatening injuries inside her house when
an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile on the adjacent street.
She later died in hospital, the sources said.
At
least 20 other Palestinians were wounded during the Israeli incursion,
three of them seriously, Rabah said.
The
deaths brought the number killed since the start of the Palestinian
Intifada against the Israeli occupation on September 28, 2000 to 2,752
including 2,023 Palestinians and 678 Israelis.
The
Israelis blew up the home in the Bureij camp of Ayman Sheshnya, an
activist of the People's Defense Committees of
Fatah, witnesses said.
Troops
also questioned people in the home of Islamic Jihad activist Jamal
Ismail and damaged the house, along with a dozen others, the witnesses
said.
Questioned
by AFP, the Israeli army said it was unable to comment on the reports
for the time being.
Meanwhile,
a senior official in the Palestinian Authority condemned the
Israeli-perpetrated "massacre".
"This
is a new massacre and crime against our unarmed people," Nabil Abu
Rudeina, a senior aide to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, told AFP.
Abu
Rudeina called on the international community, especially the Quartet
Committee, to intervene.
They
should "act urgently to secure a stop to the crimes and horrors
committed by Israel and assure the protection of the Palestinian
people."
While
Muslims across the globe were celebrating their holy Eid-ul-Fitr, which
marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, Palestinians are
still suffering under the yoke of the Israeli barbaric and bloody
occupation.
