BRUSSELS,
November 17 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - Thousands of protestors,
waving anti-war banners and Palestinian flags, turned out in Brussels
Sunday, November 17, to protest against a possible U.S.-led war on Iraq.
About
10,000 people participated in the demonstration criticizing U.S. foreign
policy concerning Iraq and asking for peace in the Middle East
Demonstrators
denounced the policies of U.S. President George W. Bush and Israeli
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Agence France-Presse (AFP) said.
Police
said the two-hour protest, organized by several trade unions and
left-wing political parties, was without incident.
Protestors
carried banners marked "No war in Iraq, Free the
Palestinians", "Bush, Sharon assassins" and "No
blood for oil".
On
November 10, Belgian police arrested 29 youths during a protest in
Brussels by 1,500 people against a U.S.-led war on Iraq.

The
march by left-wing and pro-Palestinian campaigners condemned any
military campaign against Iraq. The activists also demanded an end to
international sanctions against Iraq and the creation of a Palestinian
state.
Also
in Kuala Lumpur, hundreds of anti-war demonstrators protested outside
the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur Friday, October 11, against
London's support for a fresh U.S.-led war on 12-year-sanction-hit Iraq.
Some
300 people gathered after Friday's Muslim prayers, shouting: "Death
to [British Prime Minister Tony] Blair, death to [U.S. President George
W.] Bush," Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
The
demonstrators carried posters describing Blair and Bush as "war
mongers" and placards reading: "Blair and Bush are terrorists,
No war for oil, Stop the killings" and "Boycott American
goods."
