Soldier Dies In Hand Grenade Attack in Afghanistan

GARDEZ,
April 10 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) – Two unidentified
persons threw hand grenades on a vehicle belonging to the
International Peace Keeping Forces as it was on its way to the city of
Gardez, Afghani newspaper Shahadat said Wednesday.
The
paper quoted its correspondent in the city of Baktia saying that the
cars were on its way on Tuesday when it was hit. The incident resulted
in the death of an American soldier and the injury of 12 other
soldiers.
The
paper reported that the attackers were also killed. The correspondent
added that the American forces have arrested five suspects and is
currently interrogating them. The attackers’ bodies, who are yet not
identified, were transferred to the civil hospital in Gardez.
