OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, March 31 (IslamOnline) – Head of the Palestinian Municipality in Ramallah, Abu Rabah, told IslamOnline in an interview over the phone that “the situation there is very dangerous whereby Israeli tanks are every where, abductions, massacres and attacks on several buildings and offices are also excessively taking place”.

“What the Israelis are doing is a flagrant act of terrorism against Palestinians in an attempt to make them succumb,” Rabah told IslamOnline.

Rabah described explicitly to IslamOnline the horrific situation in Ramallah, saying that “the children are screaming from fear of the Israeli tanks” that are surrounding the place.

He said the occupation forces imposed a curfew everywhere. “They are shooting at anything moving, they cut the electricity, water and phone lines, they are preventing people from getting food or drink, they are isolating us from the entire world,” Rabah added.

Israeli occupation forces even prevented Christians from performing Easter prayers at the church in Ramallah, telling them that no Palestinians were allowed to pray.

Mustapha Al-Barghouti, Head of the Medical Aid Union Committees, told IslamOnline in an exclusive interview over the phone that the foreign volunteers tried to form human shields to prevent the Israeli tanks from entering a government hospital in Ramallah.

The reporter of the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Mahmoud Khalouf, told IslamOnline that Israelis are currently attacking four main areas in Ramallah and Al-Birrah, the most important being Umm-Al-Sharayet. Khalouf said that he personally witnessed the occupation force bombing the lower floor of the municipality of Ramallah.

He said that he and his colleague Awad Awad both faced an Israeli assassination attempt Sunday, in addition to the earlier attempts on the reporters of Agence France-Presse, Reuters, and the Associated Press.

Khalouf added that the local television channels in Nablus were forcefully overtaken and they are now broadcasting racist and pornographic programs that were carefully chosen by Israeli experts. “The items that are being broadcasted are mainly aimed at provocating Muslims against prophet Mohammed, may God’s peace and blessings be upon him,” he said.

The head of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat’s media center told IslamOnline that the situation there is extremely dangerous especially that the occupation forces are attacking anything or anyone that gets in their way. She added that “the situation is catastrophic and what Arafat is undergoing is only an introduction to what will be repeated in all the other Arab countries.”
