Israel Executes 9 Palestinians, Abducts Barghouti’s Family

Israeli occupation forces executed nine Palestinians military-style
in Ramallah, and stormed Marwan Barghouti’s home in the West Bank,
Sunday, March 31, abducting the activist’s family, news agencies
reported.
Barghouti’s
wife said that Israeli occupation forces stormed the home of
Barghouti’s mother, in the Palestinian village, Kobber, in the
West Bank, near Ramallah. The soldiers questioned relatives of the
activist as to his whereabouts, Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite
channel reported.
Barghouti’s
wife added that after the forces broke into the house, they abducted
the entire family for interrogation.
Sources
within the Israeli occupation army confirmed that two Palestinians
were “arrested” in the village of Kobber.
However,
the army refused to comment on the questioning of Barghouti’s
family.
Marwan
Barghouti is the general secretary of Palestinian President Yasser
Arafat’s Fateh party, and is held responsible by Israel for a
series of resistance operations carried out during the 18 month old
Al Aqsa intifada.
