American Activist Insults Islam On Live Radio Program

Islam dubbed "The Crescent Terror"

DECATUR, Alabama, Jan. 7 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - America's leading anti-abortion activist, Randall Terry, has now turned his guns against the Islamic faith.

Speaking on a live radio program in Decatur, Alabama, Terry made scathing remarks attacking Islam.

On a live radio program hosted by Rev. James Henderson, Terry described Allah's Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as "a terrorist," the Decatur Daily reported.

Terry has earlier called for the establishment of a Christian nation in America.

"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you," Terry told the Fort Wayne (Indiana) News-Sentinel a few years ago. "I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good ... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty; we are called by God to conquer this country. We don' t want equal time. We don't want pluralism."

U.S. government officials' description of Islam as a peaceful religion makes him furious, 42-year-old Terry said on the radio program.

Terry has recently published a 25-page booklet entitled "The Crescent Terror". The booklet claims that Islam has been at war with Christendom and Judaism since it’s founding. Terry claims that about 18,000 copies of this booklet have been distributed, but that he has allegedly not made a profit from it.

Terry is the founder of the militant anti-abortion group, Operation Rescue. He gained notoriety after being arrested on numerous occasions for protesting outside abortion clinics. Terry has also made headlines parading with pictures of fetuses and chaining himself to hospital beds.

In the 1990s, Terry started the Loyal Opposition. Four years ago, he made an unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. Congress.

Terry's tirades against Islam scarcely veil his deep hatred of the world's second most embraced faith, analysts have said, and reflect a wave of intolerance that -- if unchecked -- might sweep the United States.
