WASHINGTON, May 14 (IslamOnline) - A National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate radio station has invited one of IslamOnline's Chicago correspondent's, Dina Rashed, to participate in a dialogue concerning Interfaith relations in the U.S. on its morning program, Eight-Forty-Eight, on Tuesday.
Rita George, the associate director of the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs at the Archdiocese of Chicago, will join Rashed.
Both guests are also invited to speak at the first annual Catholic-Muslim conference organized by the Catholic-Muslim Studies Program of the Bernardin Center at the Catholic Theological Union, to be held for two days starting Tuesday.
The guests were chosen because of their experience in Interfaith dialogue within the Chicago community, in addition to their constant contact with the public and their efforts in promoting awareness to the importance of such dialogue, said Sara Sobiech Johnson, the program producer.
Eight Forty-Eight airs weekly from 9:35-11:00 a.m. Central Time and discusses various issues from arts and culture, to politics, race issues, religion, health, science, sports, education, and more. The program also features important local stories touching on the lives of various people.
The program will be broadcast on WBEZ, a Chicago NPR affiliate, on 91.5 FM radio.
